The 1956 New York Giants season was a championship season for the Giants. After finishing with an 8-3-1 record, the Giants would win their fourth NFL Championship by defeating the Chicago Bears 47-7.

- July 27, 1956: Andy Robustelli was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the New York Giants in exchange for the Giants First Round selection.[1]
