Alice in Wonderland

Queen of Hearts, India Barrett of Canal Street, giving the Knave a hard time.

OXACTS, the children's drama group that started last autumn at the Jericho Community Centre, presented its first public performance, Alice in Wonderland, on July 1 and 2 at the Burton Taylor Theatre. Lucy's and OUP provided sponsorship, and Christ Church also organized a tour for the children so they could learn about Lewis Carrol and the real Alice. Dilys Codrington of Great Clarendon Street loaned paintings for the set, and parents made costumes and provided refreshments. Both performances were sold out, but you can still buy a video for £9.50.
