Lubazodone (YM-992, YM-35,995) is a psychoactive drug and research chemical which was being developed as an antidepressant. It functions as a serotonin reuptake inhibitor and 5-HT2A receptor antagonist. Lubazodone made it to phase II clinical trials but was discontinued in 2001, apparently due to the erosion of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) market in the United States.
