New high-performance architectureInside every new PowerBook G4 is your choice of a screamingly fast 667MHz or 800MHz PowerPC G4 processor with Velocity Engine and 1MB of DDR SDRAM level 3 cache (static RAM). Advanced processor design and memory architecture are among several core advantages that enable the PowerBook G4 to pack such a tremendous wallop. Slot-loading Combo driveThe PowerBook G4’s Combo (DVD-ROM/CD-RW) drive plays CD-ROM, audio CD, DVD video, DVD-ROM and DVD-R discs. Want to burn your own music CDs? That’s easy: Use iTunes to burn audio files and the Disc Burner feature in Mac OS X to burn data CDs. Why watch movies anywhere else? The fastest drive everThe PowerBook G4’s hard disk uses the high-speed Ultra ATA/66 interface, which enables video professionals to quickly transfer large video files in real time directly from a DV camcorder.
