I just accidentally stumbled upon this amazing #Xcode feature: 😲 You can open a Quick Help menu in the right sidebar that auto-updates its contents based on your cursor position! 🤯 And I was Cmd-clicking for docs. This seems like a cheat code. Did you know? #iOSDev #SwiftUI

Ever wrote a custom error type in Swift & conformed to ‘Error’? Don’t: Writing a ‘localizedDescription’ for it won’t work. ❌ Conform to ‘LocalizedError’ instead (even if not localized) & provide an ‘errorDescription’! ✅ Avoid this common pitfall in #ErrorHandling. #SwiftTips

I just found a hidden feature in #iOS18 Beta 3: When in Look Around in the #AppleMaps app, objects like trees have a subtle parallax effect while moving. Looks like they're using the same AI models as in the #Photos app on #visionOS 2 to create a spatial world from 2D scans. 🤩

#Xcode 15 tidbit: There’s a new “String Catalog” file replacing the legacy Strings(dict) files! 😍 It comes with a visual editor showing all languages in one place, progress tracking, migrator, automatic code extraction & more! Can’t wait to support it in @RemafoX_App! #WWDC23

Proof that #SwiftUI has become the preferred UI framework within Apple in the last year. Sole #UIKit binaries are decreasing while Apple is adding new features. That probably means that they are writing new stuff mostly in SwiftUI. 👍✨ Source: blog.timac.org/2023/1019-stat…

Today I created an AsyncButton in #SwiftUI that automatically creates a Task for you so you can #await calls inside its action. It automatically shows a progress icon, disables the button while in progress & even indicates success/failure! ✨ Full code: github.com/FlineDev/Handy…

Here’s a learning from @pointfreeco’s episode from this week: Did you know you could specify a `let` constant without assigning a value right away and do the assigning later? I always used `var` for this kind of `do { } catch {}` code, will use `let` in the future, too! ❤️#Swift
