- Heartwarming Moments: The GPF team reuniting shortly before going to stop Trudy's plans in "Surreptitious Machinations".
- Moment of Awesome: Trudy spoils Ki's plan to ask Nick out by asking him out herself, but once Nick rejects her approaches, guess who comes swooping in for a well-deserved measure of comeuppance?
- Moral Event Horizon: Sam trying to rape Ki.
- Tear Jerker: The "Providence" storyline.
- "Misty" flatlining. She gets better, though.
- After Fooker leaves to work with the UGA abroad after his cover is blown, his friends look over his belongings, and think to themselves how much they miss him.
- Schedule Slip: Hit the comic hard during To Thine Own Self as Jeffrey dealt with medical issues with his firstborn child. What should've been a year-long story arc ended up taking two-and-a-half years, and even then was still curtailed significantly.
- Values Resonance: Much like its contemporary User Friendly, many strips from the first years of the comic had some characters deriding female tech workers (this usually wasn't done by male employees from GPF itself, though some of them like Dexter started out as such but grew out of it over time). Sadly, despite such attitudes being much more frowned upon over two decades after the strip first started, they still remain present which makes characters like Ki, Sharon and Patty not putting up with them still resonate with present-day audiences.
