- Awesome Moments: Every single Daimajin rampage, as terrifying as they can be, is this in spades, as the main antagonists try everything in their power to stop him only to fail utterly.
- The first movie's finale starts with Daimajin very suddenly appearing outside the city walls, and proceeding to completely decimate Odate's forces, including crushing one soldier's legs underfoot, before impaling Odate himself on the same spike his soldiers tried to destroy the statue with.
- The second movie's finale kicks off with Daimajin quite literally parting the ocean so he can make a beeline for Danjo. Once he arrives, he uses wind to put out the flames burning Tatsuri, and proceeds to chase Danjo across the city before cornering him in the sea on a boat, sending a bolt of flame across the water to light the boat on fire. In a panic, Danjo climbs the mast of the boat... only to get tied up in the ropes, forcing him to sit still as he burns to death.
- The third and final movie's rampage is the longest of the bunch, and it is brutal. He starts by parting a cliffface and shoving the rest of it over, with the rocks knocking several of Daizen's soldiers into a pool of sulfuric acid. He then continues on, crushing one soldier underfoot, killing others with rocks he knocks over and various debris, before drawing the sword at his waist and throwing it so hard it splits the earth. When he finally gets his hands on Daizen after a long, drawn out chase, he takes him back to the sulfur pool, uses the sword to gut him, and lets his corpse fall into the lake, melting his body away in seconds flat.
- Awesome Music: As to be expected with Ifukube, the finale track
packs an emotional punch.- Daimajin's theme as well; it's terrifying, awe-inspiring, and every time you hear it you just KNOW someone's about to die horribly.
- Daimajin's theme
- Complete Monster: Odate Samonosuke is an ambitious samurai who overthrows his daimyo, killing him, many loyalists and nearly burning his children alive in the process. Taking the lordship for himself, Odate institutes a regime of conquest and cruelty, enslaving all the able-bodied men he can and taking enough food in taxes to starve the peasantry. When a loyalist comes to see if it's time for the prince to stir up rebellion, Odate has him tortured and another prisoner exposed to the elements to lure the prince out so he can crucify them both. The local High Priestess tries to appeal to Odate's humanity and stop his cruelty, but the tyrant simply kills her and orders a statue of her god destroyed out of spite. When loyalist soldiers arrive to rescue the prince, Odate orders them crucified alongside him.
- Heartwarming Moments:
- Daimajin's attitude towards his followers, believe it or not. While he can be a cruel god when angered, in general he shows mercy to people who display faith in him(moreso to those who respect him rather than fear him), and goes out of his way to save lives on a few occasions. He also prevents people from sacrificing themselves in his name multiple times, seeming to care more about the conviction than the act itself. Possibly the most significant example of his softer side is when he goes out of his way to save Tsurukichi, a child who attempted to sacrifice himself to convince the god to save Sugi and Daisaku.
- Tsurukichi gets one as well; after witnessing an avatar of Daimajin, a hawk, die attacking and killing the soldiers chasing him and the other children, he gives the bird a proper burial in the snow before making a Heroic Sacrifice in the name of saving the others. It's very likely that gratitude for his show of respect and kindness is why Daimajin goes out of his way to save him.
