X-Men is an Infinity Comics webcomic from Marvel Comics, a Broad Strokes adventure series that's not directly tied to current X-Men comic continuity. It's written by Steve Orlando with art by Alan Robinson and color art by Yen Nitro.
As with Marvel's other Infinity Comic webcomics, it's a single-column vertically scrolling comic that's designed to be readable on a phone screen, rather than using a traditional comic book approach to panels and pages.
As an Infinity Comic, the series is initially only available via the Marvel Unlimited app.
The first issue was released January 5, 2026.
X-Men contains examples of the following tropes:
- Broad Strokes: The series features a version of the X-Men closely based on the early 1990s line-up, including characters such as Gambit, Jubilee and Bishop. They're still based at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, under Charles Xavier's supervision. However, in this version only Wolverine is familiar with villain Omega Red (who debuted in an early issue of the 1991 X-Men series), Russian organisation S.I.C.K.L.E. (introduced in 2018) is recognised as an active threat and the X-Men's lineup doesn't seem to match any particular point in time.
- Evil Knockoff: S.I.C.K.L.E.'s Cursed Colossi are Russian Super-Soldiers created by grafting DNA from the X-Men's Colossus onto test subjects with a recessive mutant x-gene. As Captain Emcha explains, it didn't quite work - they're now made of organic steel, like Colossus himself, but it's radioactive and slowly killing them. Emcha claims that their leaders have no interest in finding a cure, which is why they're now aiding Omega Red.
- Infinite Canvas: As with Marvel's other Infinity Comics, the webcomic is presented in a vertically scrolling format. Each issue is a single long page, with one column of panels.
- It's Personal: In the "Omega Red Dawn" arc, Cyclops comments on Token Evil Teammate Mystique injuring herself to protect the team and she points out that she's not doing this for them ("to hell with the X-Men"), she's doing it to protect her family. Her daughter Rogue is almost killed by Omega Red in the first issue of the arc, her son's on the X-Men's team and her wife is also at risk.Mystique: My wife's a mutant, my daughter's on the slab at the mansion. My son's here fighting for his life. To hell with the X-Men... ...I'm protecting my family from Omega Red.
- Recycled Title: Since 1991, the straightforward X-Men title has been used for several different comics within the wider franchise; when the webcomic launched at the start of 2026 the ongoing X-Men (2024) series was still using the same title.
