Third Shift Society is a Supernatural Webtoon made by Meredith Moriarty
. It was launched on September 19, 2019 and is ongoing, but currently on Hiatus. There are two volumes of Third Shift Society in print now made available through Webtoon Unscrolled.
This webcomic contains examples of:
- Deadpan Snarker: Icabod, while generally a pretty kind and thoughtful character, will never turn down an opportunity to sarcastically remark at a wild situation.
- Paranormal Romance: While not formally together yet, it is clear that both Icabod and Ellie are into each other. Icabod is revealed to be a reanimated corpse, so the paranormal part is self explanatory.
- Wham Episode: This can be applied to all of Season 3, but the revelation as to Icabod's true identity and how he died is absolutely devastating. It also recontextualizes a lot of knowledge and magical abilities he intimately knew that was never further examined.
