Solar House is an edutainment sci-fi drama webcomic created by Christon "VanadiumValor" Tan, known for their work on "Piemations" videos as an artist. Tan began work on Solar House in 2021, showing off the webcomic in the form of shorts on their X account. While shorts make up the majority of the webcomic, it does have an official main story in the form of two chapters. The first chapter was released in 2022, with the second releasing publicly on September 18, 2023. A third chapter is currently in development.

The webcomic envisions the solar system as an office job, with the Sun as the boss, the planets being major employees, and the moons being their subordinates. Oh, and it's also a World of Funny Animals (or universe, in this case) as everyone aside from Earth is an anthropomorphic animal.

Solar House provides examples of:

• 20 Minutes in the Future: Chapter 2 references the Uranus Orbiter Probe (UOP), which is planned by NASA to launch in 2031 and arrive at Uranus in 2044, meaning the chapter takes place somewhere in this timeframe.
• The Alcoholic: Uranus is a chronic drinker, often using it as an escape method when things get too over his head.
• All There in the Manual: VanadiumValor has created reference sheets and headshots for several characters that haven’t appeared yet in the comic, such as many of the moons. Additionally, every character reference shows their nationality, which for the most part has no bearing on the overall plot.
• Always Someone Better: Jupiter likes to flaunt his achievements in front of others, but Saturn always bests him. When Jupiter onboards new moons for a total of 92, Saturn one-ups him with hardly any effort, collecting 62 new moons in that very moment to reach 145.
• April Fools' Plot: In one short, Earth barges into Pluto’s house and tells him to get ready for work because he was promoted back to a planet, before dropping the April Fool’s bomb. Pluto does not take kindly to this and brutally attacks and bites Earth. Thankfully it was All Just a Dream.
• Arch-Enemy: Jupiter and Saturn are this to each other. They're constantly at odds with each other, with Jupiter accusing Saturn of stealing his chance at "upper management" (aka becoming a star), and they've even physically fought each other in Chapter 1.
• Benevolent Boss: Sol is this. He is constantly cheerful towards his staff and only gives gentle reminders of their work at worst. He also doesn't mind getting advice from his subordinates.
• Bilingual Bonus: Though rare, Uranus occasionally speaks Brazilian Portuguese.
• Chromosome Casting: Every single character, planet, moon, or otherwise, is male.
• Clothing Damage: Uranus starts Chapter 1 fully clothed, but gets struck by a charging bull at full force, tipping him on his side. When he regains consciousness, only his hat, briefs, and shoes remain.
• Dude Looks Like a Lady: Venus and Luno have the most feminine appearances of the entire cast, and even Sol has accidentally referred to Luno as a she.
• For Science!: When not doing his usual work, Earth is constantly performing experiments and tests, building machines, or taking things from other planets' offices, referencing how humans are constantly trying to find out more about the solar system.
• The Friend Nobody Likes: Uranus’s moons treat him like absolute dogwater. Downplayed with Puck; he’s the only moon that actually respects Uranus.
• Meaningful Appearance: Many characters' designs are representative of their real-life counterparts.
  • Each character in general has a color scheme resembling their actual appearances.
  • Earth has markings on his upper half resembling the continents. Additionally, he wears clothing to represent the average climates of the northern and southern hemispheres. For example, wearing a heavy jacket on top but shorts and flip-flops on the bottom.
  • Luno often wears several pins and stickers to represent the various countries that have sent someone or something to land on him.
  • Mars has many dark markings on his torso to represent the many canyons and extreme terrain the planet has.
  • Jupiter's belly markings represent his cloud formations and the Great Red Spot.
  • Saturn wears a lot of circular jewelry to parallel his very prominent rings.
• Multinational Team: As mentioned with All There in the Manual, every single character has various nationalities linked to them. For example, Earth is Chinese-American, Luno is French, Uranus is Brazilian, Pluto is Italian, and Titan is Scottish.
• Oh, Crap!: Saturn tells Uranus about Earth coming to visit and that he should inform his moons about it as well. The moons immediately gather behind Uranus for a verbal beatdown, prompting this reaction. 
• Perpetual Frowner: Jupiter and Saturn, more so the latter. It's even lampshaded by Uranus.

  Saturn: If Earth's visit was a good thing then why am I not smiling?
  Uranus: But you never smile.

• Perpetual Smiler: Part of Sol's Benevolent Boss personality as mentioned above. He's never seen without his smile, only dropping it when surprised.
• Precision F-Strike: Uranus throws one on Earth in Chapter 2 when he gets fed up with Earth being obsessed with his job.
• Rage Breaking Point: Uranus tries his best to hold back his anger and frustration when Earth isn’t spending any time with him. When Earth finally admits he can’t hang out due to his job, Uranus smashes a beer bottle in response and gives Earth a tearful rant about how they never get to spend time together anymore.
• Shirtless Scene: It's not unusual to see one or more cast members bare-chested. Though for some characters, such as Sol, Uranus, and Neptune, they usually are a Walking Shirtless Scene.
• Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: When Uranus’s moons are introduced in Chapter 1, they speak in this manner. Justified since they are all named after characters by William Shakespeare or Alexander Pope.
