This show provides examples of:

• A Dog Named "Dog": At least most of the characters have this.
• All for Nothing: In the very first episode, the contestants set out to buy coffee for the host. At the end, it's not only revealed the host got the coffee himself, but getting coffee wasn't even the challenge.
• Ambiguous Gender: Most of the cast may or may not have an official gender.
• Animate Inanimate Object: Pretty much the standard for an object show.
• Anthropomorphic Food: Crave Me Bar, who is a chocolate bar.
• Armless Biped: Of the main cast, Bristles, Mask, Record, Useless Thing, and XD count as armless contestants.
• Companion Cube: In episode 7, the host introduces a new character into the show. Briggs Blombert, a sculpture made from the bones of the dead contestants
• Charity Motivation Song: Episode 8 has "This One's for the Basketball Nurses", preformed by The Also-Rans (a Supergroup composed of nearly every minor character who's appeared on the show up to this point and the remaining contestants sans Briggs Blombert and Crave Me Bar), made to spread awareness about... who knows? The song turns into an acid jazz performance coupled with a Rambling Old Man Monologue halfway through, and what few actual lyrics there are don't make a lick of sense.
• Disney Acid Sequence: The "Wait" segment from episode 1 is a trippy jazz song set to an equally trippy series of visuals, from footage to old movies and Epileptic Flashing Lights.
• Dumpster Dive: Crave Me Bar does one in episode 8 to find accessories for Briggs Blombert.
• Executive Meddling: An in-universe example. In episode 8, the show's producer begins to make changes to the show for the sole purpose of keeping up with the times. First, he eliminates the remaining contestants and replaces them with a new, Totally Radical cast. When the new cast gets lost at sea, the host decides to reboot the show again with a cast of seemingly inanimate, cube-like beings "so future-focused, they'll never go out of style!"
• Expy: Imagination Meme and Smerph are based on cartoon characters from SpongeBob SquarePants and The Smurfs respectively.
• Faking the Dead: niP gnilwoB pretends to die in the nuclear explosion in episode 6 as a way to throw the show's host off of his trail.
• Hated by All: None of the contestants hold the hold the host in high regard, and in episode 7, Water Bear tells the host nobody likes him to his face.
• Hidden Depths: In episode 7, Bristles is revealed to have been a famous Brazilian singer before she joined the show.
• Home Game: Useless Thing gets a board game version of The Infamous Object Show as a Consolation Prize for being eliminated in episode 8.
• Interspecies Romance: In episode 8, Pixel (a sentient pixel) falls in love with Provocative-547 (a grey metallic cube from the "future-focused" reboot).
• Ironic Name: Downplayed. This object show is appropriately titled, yet has some good character designs, as well as decent music.
• Killed Off for Real: Nearly everyone in the cast, with the exceptions of Bristles, Crave Me Bar, Pixel, Water Bear, and niP gnilwoB, die before the 8th episode.
• LARP: Crave Me Bar spends the second half of episode 6 LARPing as a knight and speaking Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe.
• Last-Second Word Swap: Bristles does this in episode 7, when the host announces the challenge is for the contestants to admit they like him.

• Look Behind You: In episode 8, a customer tries to steal Crave Me Bar's shaving cream, so Crave Me distracts them by claiming there's "a thing" behind them. Turns out, there was actually a thing (or rather, the word Thing) behind the customer.
• Noodle Incident: The pizza-eating contest in episode 3 is never seen, though according to the host, two contestants somehow exploded due to overeating.
• "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer: In Episode 8, Gerard reveals his plan to arrest the host, after he was wanted for impersonating an auctioneer in Rhode Island.
  Crave Me Bar: And that’s a crime?
  Gerard: It is in Rhode Island. [looks at the camera] Look it up.
  • Gerard doesn’t have any proof of the host crimes, so he plans to catch the host selling watered-down ketchup.
  Crave Me Bar: That’s a crime too?
  Gerard: [looks at the camera while reading a book about laws] Look it up.
• Parody Commercial:
  • Episode one features a commercial for Potato Yogurt, described as having "the creaminess of yogurt with the starchiness of potatoes" and is "even blander than plain yogurt, guaranteed!"
  • Episode 7 features three of these.
    • The first ad is for Hearl Burbler's Herbed Berber, a firm sherbet made from Merv's curdled blugurgle. Available as Gerb and Hernels, only at Fernhurler's.
    • the second one is for the 32nd Annual Fun-Off and Boat Show, a community event with various contests, including the "Putt Your Way to Oblivion Challenge" (a golfing game where the prize is a trip of a nuclear testing site). There's also a boatload of boats to purchase, because as the jingle puts it: "The world will soon be underwater, so why not buy the boat of your dreams?"
    • The third one is for a Show Within a Show called Stopwatch Kitchen, a Cooking Show where the contestants have to make meals using stopwatches as their primary ingredient.
• Rambling Old Man Monologue:
  • In episode 4, the contestants wonder if they age, so they ask an elderly jar of mayonnaise, who proceeds to ramble about the owner of the video rental shop.
  • Exaggerated with the Charity Motivation Song from episode 8, where an old man named Thermos appears and begins rambling about not joining the Also-Rans. His spiel takes up over half the song's runtime.
• Rays from Heaven: The show's host appears to be one of these.
• Remember the New Guy?:
  • In episode 2, Mug (a minor character from episode 1), tries to prove they're an actual character by playing the show's intro. What they (nor anyone else) were expecting was there to be a completely new character named Cole. Regurgitated Stuff doesn't take this lightly.
  • In episode 3, a whole batch of never-before-seen faces are put up for elimination (to name a few, Beloved Hamster, Fake Max Headroom, Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation, and TV's Wink Martindale). The host doesn't get suspicious of their appearance, as if they've been in the show this whole time.
  • In episode 8, an elderly man named Thermos appears and introduces himself as "your old pal", despite him not appearing prior to this episode.
• Sdrawkcab Name: niP gnilwoB. It's actually just an alias he made up for himself. His real name is Gerard Tarkington.
• Second Place Is for Winners: In episode 4, Team 3 (who failed the previous episode's challenge) wins an entire car while Yellow Team (who actually won the challenge) is given a commemorative bottle opener as a prize.
• Sewer Gator: In episode two, the computer that contained the original intro's files was thrown in a sewer full of these.
• Shout-Out:
  • In episode 3, the gang orders food from Bell Jar Pizza, which has an illustration of Sylvia Plath on the box.
  • Fake Max Headroom and Wink Martindale make a cameo in the voting screen in episode 3.
  • The car that Team #3 wins in episode 4 is a beat-up 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix.
  • In episode 5, the design of Team Walking Pterodactyl's vehicle is an homage to Ed Roth's Rat Fink hot rod illustrations.
  • This show even references the Pokemon series where Entei, one of the legendary Pokemon, makes a cameo in episode 6.
• Sixth Ranger: Cole, it doesn't last long.
• Talk Show Appearance: Episode 7 is a talk show episode, with the host interviewing the contestants on a fictional talk show.
• Toilet Humor: Episode 1 contains a scene of XD's dog Skeeter crapping into a jar to make "relish".
• Totally Radical: Parodied with the "cool" reboot of the show, which repeatedly hammers in how awesome and hip the new contestants are despite them never doing anything cool.
• Vague Age: None of the contestants seem to have canonical ages. This is lampshaded in one episode when Copyright Claim tells XD they can't drive a car due to being too young and Water Bear wonders how old they are.
• Walking Ossuary: Downplayed with Briggs Blombert. While fitting the "Ossuary" half of the trope (He was made from the skeletal remains of the dead contestants), he doesn't actually move.
• What Are Records?: Subverted in episode 8. The cast of the Younger and Hipper reboot of the show get lost at sea, but are able to find their way back to the showgrounds by using the quadrant and cross-staff the original cast used to decorate Briggs Blombert.
