Dominic Panganiban, born September 27, 1990, better known online as Domics
, is a Filipino-Canadian YouTuber who regularly posts videos with the help of his animating crew. They involve stories about his life, which may occasionally lead into a lesson for his viewers.
Domics provides examples of:
- Accidental Misnaming: Dominic notes that people often mispronounce his name, especially his last name.
- Amicable Exes: Of all the exes whose stories he told in his "Breakups" series, the only one he's still on good terms with is Erin Kim. Though it's worth noting that Karen, following their messy breakup, contacted him again years later and gave him proper closure but they did not remain friends after.
- And Your Reward Is Clothes: In his "Birthdays" video, he notes how kids hate getting clothes as a present. His stated reasons are that he'll outgrow them in terms of both size and fashion sense, unlike video games that make memories that stick forever.
- Asian and Nerdy: Is Filipino and a huge fan of anime and video games.
- Beat Without a "But": From the ending to "The Media Badge":Domics: Now, you're probably thinking I'm just a privileged freeloader for using my public status to qualify for a media badge so I can cut lines and attend cool events that other people have to earn by waiting in line for. (stands there in silence for about seven seconds before moving on to the sponsor)
- Birthday Episode: He once posted an episode about birthdays.
- Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: In his "Crushes" video when he's talking about different traits one's crush might have to be interested:"Do they have a sense of humor, do they like animals, do they play video games, are they as weeaboo as you, do they have a self-esteem issue that forces them to undermine others in order to validate themselves under self-worth?"
- Call-Forward: In "Best Friend Zone", he recalls that he told his friend Joyce his family is moving and mentions that this wouldn't be the last time he hurt someone by leaving them as a reference to how his relationship with Erin Kim ended.
- Cerebus Syndrome: His "Breakups" series started off silly and comedic, but as it progressed, the stories got serious and the storytelling became dramatic.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Used humorously in "Crushes"; his third crush, Stephanie, was briefly shown in the second crush's segment during running.

- I Just Want to Have Friends: Has a downplayed version back when he was younger, where his family moved around a lot and he always lost any friends he made.
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Estelle of "Breakups" had feelings for Dom ever since they met, but chose not to act on them since he was dating her friend Jessica at the time. Even after they were both single, she realized the distance wouldn't help them and told him to find someone else who can make him happy.
- Jerkass Has a Point: His ex Jessica was a total Alpha Bitch. However, her jealous assumption that Estelle liked Dom turned out to be right on the money.
- Kids Are Cruel: One time, a fellow elementary school kid accidentally dropped all his slammers (see Serious Business below) and every other kid stole all his stuff. Including Dominic (who feels bad about it).
- LOL, 69: In "Buying Used Things", he jokes that most games that came with a console he wanted to buy were Fifa from 11 to 69.
- Malaproper: His last name is very hard to pronounce, which he discusses in the video "Last Names."
- Mortality Phobia: In "Fears", Dom discusses how he can't pinpoint a certain phobia like most people have (for examples, clowns, bugs or heights) and states that he just has a general fear of dying, specifically the pain of the method that causes death.
- Nice Guy: Dominic is generally a nice and friendly person who gives other people the benefit of the doubt.
- Nothing Is Scarier: Discusses the fear of the unknown in his "Fears" video, actually including the same quote by H. P. Lovecraft that's used for the trope page.
- Oblivious to Love: Dom hypothesized that he remained oblivious to Estelle's feelings for him, or perhaps not totally and just never brought it up to avoid confrontations that could ruin friendships.
- Oh, Crap!: Had this reaction when he overslept for a court meeting for his speeding ticket.
- The Oldest Profession: One of his apartment neighbors was a prostitute.
- One of the Boys: One of his crushes, Rachel, was a sporty girl who mostly hung out with the guys.
- Passionate Sports Girl: In "Crushes", he mentions a Rachel who was the fastest girl in running, even faster than most guys.
- Serious Business: Playing slammers in elementary school served as this for him and his classmates.
- Shout-Out: Provides numerous examples in each video, with each Shout-Out usually referencing a popular video game or anime.
- Spoiled Brat: Downplayed. Discusses how birthdays should celebrate parents more than the kids, 'cause the parents were the ones to give birth and the kid didn't really do anything, yet they still get presents.
- Sound-Effect Bleep: Occasionally does this for his swears.
- Take Our Word for It: Whatever Steve did that made Dom hate on him in "Crushes". This is represented by a concerned fan asking Dom then being horrified and angry upon being told.
- Take That, Audience!:
- In "Best Friend Zone", he brings up his disbelief that people who watch his videos think he uses real names in his stories.
- In "Buying Used Things 2", a hypothetical Straw Fan is used to make fun of people who would complain about Dom not animating everything by himself, yet want more consistent uploads at the same time. Said hypothetical fan also obnoxiously wonders why Dom would buy used things to save money instead of buying brand new things with his "millions of dollar".
- Toast of Tardiness: Shows a drawing of one briefly in his Back to School video.
- To Be Continued: Parodied in "Best Friend Zone" where he uses this as the story arrives to him delivering some news to Joyce, only for a hypothetical viewer to show up and demand he continues right there and then.
- Virtual YouTuber: In 2023, he made his own VTuber model and revealed it in the video "Passport".
