Xak is a series of top-down adventure games by Microcabin with similar gameplay to four of the earliest Ys games^note Specifically I, II, and both 16-bit versions of IV.. Legend has it that after a war between gods and demons, the gods split a world into thirds. The human world was called Xak, the demon world was called Xesis, and the fairy world was called Oceanity.
