Whizzbang is a Roblox PVE Shooter game released on 2023 and developed by captainwoodlegs and tepda. Players take the role of a group of Commonwealth soldiers, tasked with defending their trench against the endless waves of Brick Union soldiers. All the while getting to experience all the joys of early 20th century Trench warfare, like relentless bombardment, constant flooding, snipers, and not being able to shave your beard.

Tropes founds on Whizzbang:

• Anti-Entrenchment Mook: The Grenadier enemy will throw grenades towards the trench, forcing players to abandon their firing lines and destroying fire steps and sandbags.
• Battlefield Flagbearer: A commonwealth flag can be unlocked and it's an effective melee thanks to it's pointy end.
• Death from Above: Besides the constant shelling, aircraft will periodically fly over the trench and drop bombs.
• Deployable Cover: Sandbags can be deployed through the trench as cover, specially from enemy snipers which can one-shot players. Engineers can also build barbed wire, which will stop and damage incoming enemy soldiers.
• Extra! Extra! Read All About It!: The Newspaper boy at the HQ provides players with free newspapers that contain articles written by community members.
• Hold the Line: The objective is to defend the trench long enough to be able to turn the offensive around and attack the enemy position.
• Hollywood Encryption: Enemies have a chance of dropping a note containing the code needed to start the raid, and three notes used to decrypt it. The code itself consists of four pair of letters, and to decrypt it, players have to match each pair of letters with their corresponding pair of numbers and input the result into the typewriter at the back-end of the trench. Which will trigger a vote to initiate the raid.
• G-Rated Drug: Chocolate sticks are treated like cigarettes, and are sent to the troops on the trenches in care packages.
• Kaiserreich: The Brick Union is very clearly meant to be a stand in for the German Empire.
• My Local: The Commonwealth, being the stand-in for the United Kingdom and it's allies, has it's HQ inside a pub, complete with a bartender, a piano, a barber, and copious gambling.
• Some Dexterity Required: The guns in this game feature a rather... unorthodox control scheme. Having to reload by holding down L down, and then having to holster the gun with H, then get into firing position with F to be able to shoot a gun.
• The Cavalry: Once a raid is started, tanks will appear and start moving towards the enemy trench to provide cover for the players while they trek across no man's land.
• The Plague: Sickness is a constant threat inside the trench. Players can become sick if they spend too long inside during a flooding or close to dead bodies, and causes them to gradually lose health until they die if they aren't treated by a medic in time.
• Time-Passage Beard: Male soldiers will progressively grow a beard the longer they stay alive, starting with a clean shave, then growing a stubble, until finally gaining a full beard.
• Trademark Favorite Food: The Commonwealth's favorite food is cheese, or "cheez" as they call it. They have a drink made out of cheez and their currency is even called after the stuff.
• Weather Gameplay Mechanic: Rain is a concurrent hazard, fogging up no man's land and flooding the trench with water, slowing players down and even making them sick if they stay in the water for too long.
• You No Take Candle: One of the main sources of humor in the game are the several misspellings present thought the game. For example, water is called "walter".
