3:00 AM at The Krusty Krab (Video Game)
The Hash Slinging Slasher pays Mr Krabs a visit at three in the morning.

3:00 AM at The Krusty Krab is a Survival Horror game by Dave Microwaves Games and released in early 2018. The game is a horror parody based off SpongeBob SquarePants. This game is particularly based off the "Graveyard Shift" episode, where the same Slasher attacks both SpongeBob and Squidward at the restaurant.

One night, Mr. Krabs stays in the Krusty Krab very late at night to count his money, but unfortunately, it happens to be Tuesday, and it just so happens that the Hash-Slinging Slasher loves to come out and strike at 3 in the morning on Tuesdays. You play as Krabs and must collect his things and finish the nightly tasks, while being chased by the Slasher, and escape the restaurant.

A lot of games branch off this game. 3:30 AM at Floater's Cemetery is a sequel to this game, and 6 AM at The Chum Bucket is partly a sequel, but not connected. There is also a level in Around the Clock at Bikini Bottom based off this game, which also takes place at the Krusty Krab at 3AM, but Dave has stated the AM series and Around the Clock are not connected.

This game contains examples of:

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: The Slasher's "weapon" is a rusty spatula, which still cuts apart Krabs easily should you get caught.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In the original episode, the Hash-Slinging Slasher was a made-up character invented by Squidward in order to spook Spongebob, rumored to be a former Krusty Krab employee who wanted to inflict vengeance against the restaurant. Later, when the "real" Slasher arrives, he's revealed to just be a kid who wanted a job. In this video game adaptation, he's an actual killer, who wordlessly hunts down and attempts to kill Krabs in particular for no apparent reason.
  • Berserk Board Barricade: Every door in Krabs' office has a wooden board that serves as a lock for the door, slamming into place when it closes. These make the office the safe room, and running inside is the only way to escape the Slasher in the first level.
  • Creepy Basement: After completing his tasks, Krabs enters the Krusty Krab's cellar to grab the key and is once again stalked by the Slasher.
  • The End... Or Is It?: The game ends with Krabs throwing open the front doors and running to his boatmobile, with the Slasher chasing him. While he does get away and drive off, the Slasher is still present and can be seen walking after Krabs' car. This leads directly into the game's sequel, 3:30 AM at Floater's Cemetery.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: The Slasher's entire body is covered in shadow; you can only see the red glow of his eyes.
  • Kill the Lights: The Slasher will make his presence known by making the lights of the room he spawns in start to flicker.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: The Krusty Krab's basement is only accessible from a trapdoor inside Krabs' office, which is locked and inaccessible to the Slasher, but somehow, he appears there before Krabs. The Slasher's teleportation ability returns in the game's sequel as his method of moving around the graveyard.
  • Shadow Walker: The Slasher appears out of the darkness and vanishes back into it when you escape.
