The Lion King: Simba's Mighty Adventure (Video Game)
"Stand down, Scar." "I think not. I am the king!"

A video game adaptation of both The Lion King (1994) and The Lion King II: Simba's Pride.

This video game provides examples of:

  • Adaptation Amalgamation: The game takes the plots of the first two films and merges both into a single title with their respective main antagonists reprising their roles for each half.
  • Final Boss: Zira, being the Big Bad of the sequel film, naturally is the last villain to fight before the story can be over.
  • Flashback with the Other Darrin: The cutscenes are clips of the films re-recorded with the game's cast. However, there are some exceptions with Nathan Lane and James Earl Jones' audio still found in both versions.
  • Forced Tutorial: There is a mandatory tutorial as young Simba.
  • Game-Over Man: The Game Boy Color version features a mourning Rafiki on the game over screen.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation:
    • Clips from the films are used as transitions between levels.
    • The cutscene before the last level shows all the Outsiders apart from Zira defect to Simba's side, but Outsiders still serve as enemies in the level.
  • Goomba Stomp: One of Simba's way of attacking enemies is to jump onto them.
  • I Am the Noun!: Scar declares that he is the king.
  • Lighter and Softer: Compared to the depiction of the events of the second film, it is rather tame.
  • Pre-Rendered Graphics: Clips from the films are used as transitions between levels.
  • Starter Villain: Scar serves as the main villain of the first half and it involves Simba ultimately defeating him.
