Burning Faith is a strategy RPG game created by Aldorlea Games and is available on Steam.
A vampire Evil Overlord ravaged the lands and many people died to his reign. A duo of fighters, Martin and Valerie, try in stopping him, but then Martin is defeated and then seemingly killed. With hope almost lost, Valerie and her two friends Sabrina and Lena set out to seek for Martin and to stop the vampire lord.
This game provides examples of:
- Big Bad: The vampire lord Chronus is the main villain of the game.
- Checkpoint Starvation: The game has a lot of levels and only few shops. Averted in the late game, however.
- The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard: Not always are the heroes safe from enemy attacks.
- Guide Dang It!: Unless you're a master tactician, you're not going to make it through the enemy waves.
- Mythology Gag: Some maps are identical to the ones from Sandfall from the same creator group.
- Never Found the Body: The main reasoning Valerie believes Martin made it.
- Number of the Beast: One of the bosses has exactly 666 HP.
- The Power of Love: This could be the reason Martin endures the torture he's put through.
- Timed Mission: On average, a map has to be beaten in 50 rounds. Towards the end the limit even lowers.
- Voice Grunting: Depending on who talks, it has higher grunts for female characters, average grunts for male characters and deep grunts for threatening villains like Chronus, Bugsy and Krash.
- "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue: The game ends with mentioning most major characters and what happened to them.
