- Abridged Series: Sister Leveling by The Anime Boiis
(click here to view the playlist) recasts the game interface as a Dating Sim, 'Rizz Leveling'. Unfortunately, Jin-Woo makes a critical mistake when asked for the 'route' he should start with, as his question about the 'step-sister route' is interpreted as him selecting it. Cue him doing everything he possibly can to dodge his "step-sister's" advances (as she is actually his blood-related sister), leading him to accept the game's punishments and hence becoming the S-rank raider he was aiming at becoming by accident. It doesn't get better in the second season when his introduction to Soon-Yi sets him on the 'Jail Route' (with the game now being called "Diddy Leveling") as well (complete with the mission statement 'avoid meeting Chris Hansen', and with "Not Like Us" as the overarching Leitmotif)... and that's still only the start of the situations he finds himself in. - Acting for Two: In the English dub, Anastasia Muñoz voices both Laura Walker and the Ant Queen.
- Author's Saving Throw: One of the major criticisms levied at the series by both fans and detractors is the lack of development for the supporting cast. Season 1 of the anime, however, expanded a lot more on the side characters than the manhwa did. Notably, producer Sota Furuhashi has gone on record and said that they plan to give far more spotlight to the supporting characters in Season 2 and help flesh out the setting more.
- All-Star Cast: The English dub has a bevy of well-known voice actors, starring Aleks Le, Justin Briner, Ian Sinclair, Christopher Sabat, Kent Williams, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Robert McCollum, SungWon Cho, Dani Chambers, John Swasey, Jason Liebrecht, and Johnny Yong Bosch in lead or recurring roles. Some of the more minor characters are also voiced by big names, such as Trina Nishimura, Kaiji Tang, Patrick Seitz, Ryan Colt Levy, Daman Mills, Zeno Robinson, Aaron Dismuke, Alejandro Saab, David Matranga, Dallas Reid, Todd Haberkorn, Clifford Chapin, Jad Saxton, and J. Michael Tatum. Even reggaeton star J Balvin has a guest role.
- Celebrity Voice Actor: The English and Latin-American Spanish dubs of the anime have reggaeton singer J Balvin as Kargalan while the Hindi dub features Bollywood actor Ali Fazal as Song Chi-yul and Tollywood actor Rana Daggubatti as Barca (with the latter also reprising his role in Tamil and Telugu).
- Enforced Method Acting: Aleks Le genuinely cried when he recorded the scene when Jinwoo cries after curing his mother’s eternal slumber, and after hearing Colleen Clinkenbeard speak the more personal and realistic lines he wrote for the scene.
- Gateway Series: There have been a few in the past that have been considered this for Korean Webtoons and Manhwa, but Solo Leveling stands above them all. It's the only Korean Manhwa translated to date that managed to make its way into NPD bookscans top 20 graphic novels, with only 2 volumes released outside Korea at this point.
- Hilarious Outtakes: Aleks Le doing alternative "Arise" takes, to very mixed (but equally hilarious) results (and to the annoyance of the series's dubbing director Caitlin Glass.) This was more of his response to haters who have been spamming him threats if he were to fumble the said activation word.
- The Other Darrin:
- In the dub for Episode 22, Min Byung-gu is voiced by Eduardo Vildasol due to his usual voice actor, Lee George, being busy with stage plays.
- In the anime’s dub, Laura Walker is voiced by Anastasia Muñoz. However, in the gacha game Solo Leveling: ARISE, her voice is instead provided by Laura Post.
- Sleeper Hit: One that arguably brought Korean Webtoons and Manhwa into the mainstream once again during The New '20s.
- Star-Making Role: Rebecca Wang was made more known as a voice actor thanks to her role as Sung Jinah.
- Written by Cast Member: Aleks Le requested to write the lines for the moment when Jinwoo’s mom wakes up from her eternal slumber. He added dialogue such as his mom calling him “sweet boy” and “baby” and telling Jinwoo how proud she is of him, in order to make the scene hit closer to home.
