As amusing and awesome as it is, this story has some moments that hit you real hard.
- Neliel takes the disappearance of her beloved Fraccion very badly. Remember Dondochakka and Pesche, those two cartoonish goofballs who followed Nel around like a lost puppy? Well, they're gone now. Neliel's brothers in all but blood... gone. You can see why the girl latches onto Naruto, as he's the only person left who she loves.
- Byakuya was so badly hurt by Hisana's death that he has reached near-suicidal levels of depression.
- Naruto's reaction to Hinata's death. Just... all of it.
- To add an extra level of sadness, his bloody murder of Mayuri did not help. It gave him momentary closure, then it was gone. Vengeance Feels Empty, after all.
- Ichigo and Naruto's brief fight in Chapter 69 in rather saddening, indicating how Naruto has gone from Ichigo's Big Brother Mentor to someone who could easily kill Ichigo in a second if he wants to, only choosing to spare him because he still views him as a friend.
