The RMS Tropertania (Roleplay)
The Tropertania steaming at full speed out of Clichehampton in her maiden voyage.

The RMS Tropertania, also known by its thread name "It's the 1910s, and we are on a ship similar to the Titanic", is a Play-by-Post roleplay on the TV Tropes forums where the characters roleplay as passengers in an ocean liner in its maiden voyage just before it crashes into another ship, doing collateral damage to the Tropertania's bow, which leads to it sinking slowly. Sound similar to another ocean liner?

You can find the forum HERE.

This Play-By-Post Game provides examples of:

  • Bittersweet Ending: The Tropertania has sank, but the rescue ship Articlic arrives and saves anyone on board the lifeboats.
  • Downer Ending: Almost. DeadlyEspresso states that everyone immediately died in the sinking just before idkwhatiamdoingatp subverts the ending to give a more realistic ending. The realistic ending is also this, ending with the Tropertania sinking.
  • Dimensional Traveler: Many travelers of this type enter the timeline.
  • Expy: Of the RMS Mauretania. The Troperic is one of the RMS Olympic, and the Redshirtia is one of the lesser-known Andania. Despite the time difference in real life, the RMS Articlic appears as an expy of the Majestic, arriving as a rescue ship.
  • Flat "What": 1910s idkwhatiamdoing lets out an "uhh what" when a flying person appears in the scene.
  • Near Misses: One of the ship and the Troperic, another liner.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: 1910s idkwhatiamdoing when a flying person enters.
  • Retcon: idk, the creator of the thread, has most likely made a Ret-Con, if not a few, to the story, and plans to make a list in Google Docs.
  • Sudden Soundtrack Stop: When a random flying man appears in the scene, this happens and 1910s idkwhatiamdoing just gives out an "uhh what" before the music continues.
  • What Did You Expect When You Named It ____?: The Redshirtia. It collides with the Tropertania and splits in half.
