Before I met you I was in a dark and lonely place.

Welcome to the darkness, my love.
Olivia and Cara, a lesbian couple, head to an isolated cabin for a romantic sleepover. However, an encounter with a group of hostile men from a gas station reveal something that Olivia has been hiding from Cara all this time.
Tropes featured in this episode:
- Action Girl: Olivia turns out to be a vampire who's capable of killing an entire werewolf pack all on her own to defend herself and Cara, her girlfriend.
- Choke Holds: Olivia knocks Cara unconscious by applying a chokehold, so she won't see her transforming into a vampire and killing the werewolves.
- Dark and Troubled Past: When she was little, Olivia's mother was murdered right in front of her by a man. He was also a vampire, she later reveals, turning her too.
- Discriminate and Switch: The gas station men drive Olivia and Cara away because "your kind don't belong here." Cara assumes they're homophobic because the two are lesbians. The real reason is that Olivia is a vampire, they're werewolves, and she has just trespassed through their territory.
- Fur Against Fang: The werewolves from the gas station attack the cabin because Olivia (a vampire) passes through their territory. Olivia ends up killing them all to protect Cara.
- I Am a Monster: After Cara calls her a monster for being a vampire, Olivia agrees she is and forlornly tries to kill herself by stepping into the sunlight.
- Interrupted Suicide: Heartbroken by Cara's rejection, Olivia tries to commit suicide by stepping into the sunlight, but Cara, having had a change of heart, pulls her back before she's burned alive.
- Interspecies Romance: Cara is a human dating Olivia, a vampire.
- Lesbian Vampire: Olivia is a lesbian who's on a trip with her girlfriend Cara. During this, she's revealed to be a vampire as well, and initially Cara is repulsed, though soon she accepts it.

- One-Woman Army: Olivia is a vampire who's so strong that she can kill a whole werewolf pack all by herself.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: After changing into her vampire form, Olivia has red eyes.
- The Reveal: Olivia is a vampire, and the guys from the gas station are werewolves.
- Suicide by Sunlight: Olivia tries to kill herself by walking into the light when Cara calls her a monster upon discovering she's a vampire. Cara stops her though.
- Super-Strength: Olivia, a vampire, is strong enough to rip off a werewolf's head with her bare hands.
- Token Human: Cara turns out to be the only human in the episode, as her girlfriend Olivia's a vampire while the men the two meet are all werewolves.
- Twofer Token Minority: Olivia is a young black woman who's a lesbian and later turns out to be the only vampire as well. Her girlfriend Cara is clearly part East Asian. Everyone but them is white and male in the episode, while the two are also the only queer characters.
- Weakened by the Light: Vampires like Olivia burn from exposure to sunlight.
- You Monster!: Cara angrily tells Olivia this after learning she's a vampire and has been keeping this from her until now, but quickly comes to regret it when it nearly drives the latter to suicide.
