Bermuda Triangle
While escorting Old Timer to a display of old planes in Miami, Jimbo enters the Bermuda Triangle- and finds himself transported to another time and place.
This episode provides examples of:
- Bermuda Triangle: Jimbo and Old Timer encounter this, in the form of a glowing red triangle surrounded by a Swirly Energy Thingy.
- Brick Joke: At the beginning of the episode, when the Old Timer says “Roger and out”, the Chief Controller demands to know why he’s being called “Roger”. At the end of the episode, Old Timer says the same thing to the Miami Chief Controller… who asks how he knew his name was Roger.
- Iris Out: The episode ends with an iris closing on the Miami controller.
- Sudden Anatomy: Plane variation; Old Timer spontaneously gains a nose gun when he needs to shoot down an enemy plane after being transported back to World War II.
- Swirly Energy Thingy: The Bermuda Triangle looks like one of these, and even pulls Jimbo and Old Timer towards it like a giant whirlpool.
- Time Travel Episode: The Bermuda Triangle briefly transports Old Timer and Jimbo back to a World War 2 dogfight.
