Map is a good friend to Dora and Boots and knows the way to go! But a Silly Bird that is collecting sticks for its nest mistakes Map for a stick and carries him away to its nest on top of the Tallest Mountain. So, Dora and Boots have to make their own map for a change as they go on an adventure to reach the Tallest Mountain so they can rescue Map!
Elements:
- Places: Butterfly Garden, Cornfield, Tallest Mountain
- Correct item(s) from Backpack: Red box with five yellow stars
- Swiper's target: The replacement map
Tropes:
- Borrowed Catchphrase: Dora uses some of Map's phrases for his segments when drawing up their own map. She even uses his "say it with me" bit when she presents the final product.
- Continuity Nod: The cornfield is crowded with the Mean Ants who return since "Lost and Found".
- Distressed Dude: Map is mistaken for a stick by a Silly Bird and gets flown to his nest on the Tallest Mountain.
- Formula-Breaking Episode: Since Map was kidnapped, Dora and Boots had to make their own map in his place. The three-picture sequence used for passing locations is also dropped in favor of Dora using the makeshift map.
- Kidnapping Bird of Prey: Subverted in that Silly Bird is not a bird of prey, but rather, a nest-building bird who mistakes Map for a stick and carries him away.
- Pokémon Speak: The Mean Ants repeatedly chatter "Ants! Ants! Ants! Ants!"
- Similar Item Confusion: The silly bird mistakes Map for a big stick to use for his nest on the Tallest Mountain.
- Turn the Other Cheek: Map forgives the Silly Bird for mistaking him for a stick and kidnapping him.
