Basic Trope: A very minor "evil" act.
- Straight: Alice jaywalks, queue-jumps, steals an apple from a supermarket, or pokes her poodle sharply to give it a start.
- Exaggerated:
- Alice steals two cents, neglects to clean her room, or pokes the poodle gently.
- Alice taps (not even pokes) the poodle, then apologizes tearfully when it yelps.
- Alice dresses as a supervillain, knocks on her neighbour's front door and says, "Ha! Ha! Ha! I am evil."
- Alice wears her shiny yellow rubber raincoat to school on a sunny day, knowing that wearing a jacket to class violates the school dress code, when asked by teachers to remove it, she says she's cold and even says "please" when asking if she can keep it on, she laughs evilly in her own head over her "misdeed" even though she's only making herself suffer from roasting in her hot raincoat and looks silly.
- Alice asks permission to drink straight from the milk jug. When she's granted permission, she laughs evilly and does so.
- Alice "cheats" at a video game by using a cheat code that was given to her by a character in the game.
- Downplayed:
- Alice commits a misdemeanor that is minor, but not laughably so.
- Alice shoplifts from Wal-Mart and acts like she just robbed a bank.
- Alice flips off a group of nuns.
- Threw My Bike on the Roof
- Justified:
- Alice is a Minion with an F in Evil.
- Alice is trying to do a Face–Heel Turn, but she's so lacking in actual evil intent that any attempts at villainy are completely harmless at worst.

- Alice's idea of a "harmless prank" is to remotely detonate buildings while occupied.
- Alice tries to prove she's good by giving a single penny to a homeless person.

- Alice steals an apple... from a lame, blind, starving beggar woman who was selling them for a few cents each.
- Alice steals an apple... and uses it to poison a noble family.
- Double Subverted:
- ...but Alice was famished to the point of near death, and later when she had the opportunity, came back to pay the woman.
- ...except Alice does it in a video game.
- ...but the poison just makes the family somewhat sick for a few days.
- The Family for the Whole Family
- Parodied:
- Alice goes to a restaurant, uses the dessert fork for her salad, puts too much pepper on her steak, only washes her hands for 19.5 seconds instead of 20, and only leaves a 10% tip, yet she acts as if she just crossed the Moral Event Horizon and became irredeemable.
- Alice jaywalks and Satan himself is shocked and enraged.
- Zig Zagged: Alice jaywalks, steals an apple, murders an innocent and commits mass arson.
- Averted: Alice commits no laughably minor misdemeanors.
- Lampshaded: "Wow, Alice is so dangerous that she didn't flush at a public restroom."
- Invoked: Alice wants to be evil, but she has a lot of standards.
- Exploited: Alice jaywalks and laughs like a maniac while doing it, to keep people from taking the idea of her actually being evil seriously. She can kill and torture somebody in cold blood, but nobody who doesn't witness the event will believe it happened.
- Defied: Alice makes sure to always commit irredeemable crimes against humanity to make sure people know she means business.
- Discussed:Emperor Evulz: "Alice, you're just not cut out to be a bad guy."
- Conversed: "Poor Alice, she wants to be taken seriously, but she keeps failing evil class."
