Basic Trope: Someone immediately regrets something as soon as they do it.
- Straight: Bob insults Alice but immediately he regrets it.
- Exaggerated: Bob insults Alice but then regrets it and is Driven to Suicide because of his extreme guilt.
- Downplayed: Bob insults Alice and regrets it for a minute but couldn't care less.
- Justified:
- Bob wants to be a nicer person, so he is quick to judge himself for his own mistakes.
- Bob was so wound up in anger that he doesn't realize what he just said until after he does so. Now that he's had his outburst, hes able to recognize what he said, and react rationally.
- Zig-Zagged: Bob sometimes apologizes for his actions, other times he doesn't.
- Inverted:
- Bob apologizes although he never said or did anything wrong.
- Alice always forgives Bob.
- Subverted: Bob insults Alice but doesn't say he's sorry.
- Double Subverted: Bob insults Alice and doesn't say he's sorry, but he takes a moment before saying he is sorry.
- Parodied: Bob Apologizes a Lot.
- Invoked: Bob apologizes once for what he said to Alice.
- Averted: Bob doesn't regret his actions.
- Defied: Bob regrets his actions and say's he is sorry, but Alice says his actions were helpful and motivated her to finish her garden.
- Deconstructed: Bob says he's sorry for what he said to Alice, and the episode explores why he immediately regretted it.
