Scary Moments (Nightmare Fuel) in PRAGMATA
We created life... so it might end yours.

Despite being Lighter and Softer than some of Capcom’s most recent works, Pragmata still has its moments of horror that would make even the toughest space marine tremble in fear.

  • Once IDUS decides that the human-designed robots aren't enough to kill Hugh and Diana, it starts upgrading the existing models... and tries to make new designs with horrifying results. The Garden Keeper is a mishmash of Walker robot parts with the face of a tarantula and the tail of a scorpion which has several arms in a similar vein to Mistral's use of GEKKO arms.
  • Dead Filament is this in spades. The Dead Filament looks less like moon matter and more like a Marker. It is not only extremely toxic to both humans and androids alike, but it is also implied to be sentient. Also, any attempts to cleanse infected hosts would result in their death.
  • Although Diana's reconstruction is a success, Hugh removes his faceplate and reveals his Dead Filament laceration has infected him. Once Diana mentions that she couldn't save humans using her new abilities, it's spelled out that he's not making it home.
  • Eight herself could probably give Eveline, Protoman, or even Vergil a run for their money when it comes to antagonistic older siblings in Capcom games. While all three were somewhat sympathetic despite their faults (and in Vergil and Eveline’s case, causing serious incidents), Eight is anything but sympathetic.
    • Eight at first glance doesn’t seem like much compared to her sister Diana. At first, she seems friendly and willing to help the heroes out. However, behind this facade, Eight is a Mechanical Abomination who can house and even release Dead Filament, making her more closer to a Plague Master.
    • Eight’s One-Winged Angel form after absorbing the dead filament. It is complete with black armor, tentacles that resemble a grotesque mockery of angel wings, and sickly purple energy with a glowing black sphere for a head surrounded by a High Collar of Doom. The end result looks like a grisly fusion of Elesh Norn mixed with Malenia and every attack she inflicts can hinder Diana’s hacking abilities and inflict Hugh with Dead Filament. A cruel reminder that Eight is a dangerous android when pushed too far.
  • Many of the enemies you encounter look less like robots and have more of a case of Uncanny Valley. Combine this with their already Ax-Crazy tendencies brought on by Eight and these robots are having the time of their artificial lives slaughtering everything.
