Suck It and See is the fourth studio album by the English rock band Arctic Monkeys, released on 6 June 2011 through Domino Records.

Compared to Humbug, the album goes back to a straightforward indie rock sound but with a Lighter and Softer tone and poppier tunes instead of the raw, energetic sound of their first two albums, while also keeping the psychedelic sound of their previous album.

Four singles were released with this album: "Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair", "The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala", "Suck It and See" and "Black Treacle".

Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Tropes:

• Alliterative Name: "Love Is a Laserquest".
• Break-Up Song: "Love Is a Laserquest" is about the narrator looking back on a girl he liked but lost forever.

• Foreign Cuss Word: When Suck It and See was released in the US, many retailers put a sticker of the title, construing it as sexual innuendo, while in England (where the band come from) it's a saying that means "try it and find out".
• Lighter and Softer: Inspired in part by indie bands like Best Coast.
• Longest Song Goes Last: "That's Where You're Wrong" closes the album at 4:16.
• Minimalistic Cover Art: The cover is just a cream-coloured screen with the title written on it. The cream-coloured art is supposed to be a nod to The Beatles' The White Album.
• Shout-Out: As mentioned above, the Minimalistic Cover Art is a reference to The White Album.
• Title Track: This is their first album to have one.
• Word Salad Lyrics: A fair amount of the songs on this album have them, such as "Library Pictures".
  "Library pictures of the quickening canoe/the first of its kind to get to the moon"^note And that's only the first line of the song!
• Word Salad Title:
  • "The Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap". It's the B-side to "Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair". To this day, no one knows what the hell these words mean.
  • Subverted with "The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala". Apparently, it refers to an unknown place Alex frequents. Not that it makes anything clearer, though.
