President (stylized in all caps as PRESIDENT) is an anonymous Metalcore band from The United Kingdom. President started as a project in complete secrecy and made their debut at the 2025 Download Festival, after which they released their first EP, King of Terrors. Since then, their popularity exploded and they started getting onto bigger festivals, as well as supporting other big acts such as Bad Omens and Architects.

The band is known for their theatrical presentation, with the titular President wearing an intentionally Uncanny Valley mask and suit. He calls their live shows "rallies" and music videos "broadcasts." Sound wise, metalcore is the best descriptor. There's elements of Electronicore, Alternative Metal, and Emo Music that give them a unique identity compared to their peers.

Think I'm drowning in the tropes of your empire:

• The Alcoholic: Lyrics in "Destroy Me" and "RAGE" reference alcohol, mostly using it as an escape. Whether that means The President had/has alcoholic issues is another thing.
• Anonymous Band: All four members conceal their identities both on and off stage. The President wears a mask that resembles an old man, the other members wear full black face covering masks.
• Arc Symbol: A patriarchal cross, which is often seen in their broadcasts and merch.
• Beautiful Singing Voice: The President has become one of the prime examples of this in modern metalcore. His British-accented baritone has a unique quality to it that a lot of fans have highly praised. It's also unintentionally been the prime fuel of the rumours about who The President could be...
• Careful with That Axe:
  • The first vocal you hear in "In The Name Of The Father" is a scream.
  • The breakdown of "Angel Wings" comes almost out of nowhere, and it starts with a blood-curdling scream.
• Conspicuous Gloves: In addition to the suit, the President wears thick white gloves. Presumably, they are there to hide any tattoos or jewelry the singer has.
• Cover Version: They perform a cover of "Change (In The House Of Flies)" by Deftones during their headline shows.
• I Am the Band: The President writes the majority of the music and lyrics, performs most of the instruments in the studio, and is the band's producer. He is also the namesake of the band, and the only member who appears in promotional images. His mask is distinctively different from the other masks, which are identical.
  • This may become averted in the future, as The President has said in more recent interviews that he wants to involve the rest of the band more.
  • Vice has writing credits on "Fearless" and "Conclave", and is credited with performing drums on "Angel Wings" and "Mercy".
• Insistent Terminology: Political terminology is used to describe their promotions and performances. Live shows are called "rallies," promos are "endorsements," merchandise is known as "uniform," music videos are "broadcasts", and following the band on social media or joining the band's mailing list is called "joining the campaign." Interestingly, they don't reference politics much, if at all, in any of their songs.
• Madness Mantra: From the end of "Destroy Me," "GET ME OUT OF THIS HELL!" Repeated three times for good measure.
• Metal Scream: The President uses Type 1 in several songs.
• Religion Rant Song: The entire King Of Terrors EP can be seen as this. The President has described it as a break-up record, but about religion instead of a partner. He has been open in interviews about having a deeply religious background, which he abandoned following an existential crisis.
• Smoking Is Cool: The President is frequently seen with a cigarette, highlighted in the broadcast for "In The Name of The Father."
• The Un-Smile: The President's mask makes any attempt to smile look like this.
