To her surprise, however, everyone else in Miss Bustier's class takes their "everyday Ladybug" completely for granted. Marinette's still loved and appreciated by everyone outside of their class, even after she finds herself Easily Condemned by her Fair-Weather Friends, while Lila realizes that she doesn't actually want the "adoration" of their fickle peers.
Fashion Upgrade: Marinette holds this status for nearly everyone at Francoise Dupont, with the sole exceptions of Lila Rossi and Caline Bustier. When the latter decides to blame her for Lila getting her temporarily expelled on false charges, the rest of the teachers wind up fighting over who should get her in their class. Her old classmates are dismayed to learn about her transfer, while her new ones are eager to get to know her better.

This spurs her to make a reality-altering Wish to swap lives with Marinette, assuming this will swap their fortunes as well... without realizing why Marinette is so well-liked while she's so hated. Namely that it's a matter of personality, not status.
Played for Drama in Two Letters. The new Ladybug is widely, openly admired by everyone in Paris, to the point where practically everyone has some kind of button or token declaring they support her. Mainly because she's built up a Cult of Personality around herself, fostering an environment where the character of anyone who doesn't openly support her is called into question. Don't they know she's their hero...?
Deconstructed in Dekugate: One of the downsides of Toshinori's status as the Symbol of Peace is the amount of Loony Fans who are besotted with the ideas they've projected onto him. And this love and admiration doesn't extend to those around him; in fact, the titular online community is made up of people who absolutely despise Toshinori's wife and son for existing, openly and brazenly wishing ill upon Inko and Izuku.
In the Personality Swap AU, Izuku builds up a reputation as the "Acting Hero" over time, to the point that he's widely admired both in and outside U.A. by the time he reaches his third year. All of the teachers (and Principal Nedzu) consider him to be their favorite student, but none of his peers hold this against him, and he's the only one who's sincerely surprised when he's named the leader of his generation's Big Three.

Even when Keith Claes and Maria Campbell angrily state that Catarina has never mistreated them, Henrietta misconstrues it as ingratitude towards her for "trying to help them." After Henrietta confesses that she tried to murder Catarina out of fear she would lead their kingdom to ruin should she marry Prince Geordo and would gladly do so again if given the chance, she's attacked by a group of enraged young women (with her former bestie Francine Ridgeway landing the first blow) who can't believe she'd hurt someone as kind as Catarina.
Catarina herself is shocked to learn she's so beloved by her classmates and their families, as she still believes she's "the villainess" despite all she's done to help her family, friends, and those around her. She does think being called "The Academy Saintess" is a bit much.
Papillion Hearts: Minato was so beloved by everyone at Gekkoukan that there's a memorial decicated to him on the school rooftop that has remained for thirty years and counting. Many also opt to ignore the little detail of how he left behind a pregnant Yukari, something that would normally tarnish his reputation... though Yukari still had to deal with the stigmata herself.
AdamantineMist: Kasumi Tendo is shown to be utterly beloved by Nerima, with one character mentioning the amount of people who don't like her can be counted on one hand. Considering she's the sanest and kindest member of her family, it's not surprising. So when she decides to become Ranma's fiancée in an ongoing bout of Tranquil Fury, Ranma's other suitors learn this the hard way when they go after her and become the outright bane of the city.
Shampoo and Ukyo end up losing a lot of business at their respective restaurants when they're seen attacking Kasumi in broad daylight and are eventually evicted. The residents of Nerima show up en masse when Shampoo, Cologne and Mousse attempt to attack the Tendo Dojo forcing Cologne to give up out of fear of causing an international incident between Japan and China if the three attack the citizens.
Kodachi Kuno's antics result in her family's conglomerate losing all their business in Nerima, to the point her great uncle has her, her brother, and their father kicked out of their home (which he actually owns) and split up to ensure they leave Kasumi and her family alone.
The Bloods of Bolton: The smallfolk and servants of the Dreadfort love and admire Domeric, and were practically counting down the days to Roose's death, looking forward to when Domeric could take over.
While Shireen Baratheon was already admired, she becomes even more widely beloved once word of what Stannis did to her spreads. Even Qyburn shows enough respect to treat the scars left behind from her battle with greyscale.
Despite how everyone despises the Freys for how they broke Sacred Hospitality at the Red Wedding, "Fat" Walda Frey is regarded with far more sympathy. Those who Remember lament the gruesome fate that befell her in the original timeline, and even the bannermen of the Tullys express concern for her safety and well-being.
Played With for Arya Stark, who's highly regarded amongst the Tully bannermen for the part she played in slaughtering House Frey... and is The Dreaded for all others.
Comet vs The Forces of Evil has Comet's late grandfather, who was absolutely beloved by everyone. Even his great-uncle Eternia smiles while talking about him, despite how they didn't always agree about everything.
Nemesis (BeaconHill): The only person in Brockton Bay who doesn't like Bumblebee is Emma/Crystalia, who turned Taylor into her nemesis against her will as part of a plan to further torment and humiliate her favorite victim.
