- Chainsaw Man: Since the setting is a Alternate History when the Cold War continued to the The '90s, characters from both or anyone who can reasonably fit in the timeline can appear.
- Code Geass: Have a media take place in the Alternate History of the setting.
- Drifters: Any human characters can be turned into a Drafter or End and sent to the fantasy world or another setting.
- Frieren: Beyond Journey's End: As Frieren is Long-Lived, she can live into the future of her world, which could become an another setting.
- Gundam: As the franchise is a Thematic Series with the premise of The War of Earthly Aggression fought with mecha, it is easy to do a Fusion Fic.
- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Any character can obtain a Stand.
- Jujutsu Kaisen: Crossover characters can be cursed users, sorcerers or cursed spirits.
- Mnemosyne: Any female character can become immortal through the Seed of Yggdrasil.
- My Hero Academia: Superheroes and Supervillains can added as people with quirks. Alternately "normal people" can be given a quirk.
- Petals of Reincarnation: Any character can be a past-life and/or a Returner.
- Any human or god can enter the "Record of Ragnarok" tournament.
- Re:CREATORS: The premise is based around fictional characters ending up in the real world, so any crossover character could end up in the "real world" of Re:Creators''.
- Sailor Moon: The Guardians can reincarnate anywhere that could have a version of the solar system.
- Sekirei: A crossover character can join the Sekirei Plan as a Ashikabi. Alternately:
- They can be a sekirei.
- The Sekirei can land in a different setting.
- To Love Ru: Lala can land in a different setting.
- Tougen Anki: Human characters can turn into Oni as it is a case of Superpowerful Genetics. People can go their entire lives and suddenly turn into Oni on their death bed.
- Versus (2022): Any world that can have a "Natural Enemy" can be caught in the Merged Reality.
Comic Books
- Crossover (2020): The Event can bring any comic book character to life.
- It is easy to put versions of characters in the Ultimate Universe (2023) or Absolute Universe by simply saying they existed in the original reality (not hard to believe as both universes are Fantasy Kitchen Sink) and then have the Maker or Darkseid alter their origins.
- The DCU:
- Superman can land on any fictional world.
- Wonder Woman: Anyone can replace Steve Trevor and wash up on Paradise Island.
- Crisis on Infinite Earths: Any world could get caught up in the Crisis.
- Invasion! (DC Comics): Any version of Earth (or any other world for that matter) that has significant abnormal or fantastical phenomena could take the place of the DC Earth as the Dominator's target.
- Armageddon 2001: A crossover character could get visited by Waverider to determine if they will become Monarch.
- Bloodlines (DC Comics): Any character capable of fitting into the 1993 DCU Earth could have an encounter with an alien parasite and potentially gains superpowers.
- Zero Hour: Crisis in Time!: Any character whose timeline could conceivably be part of Hypertime could end up in the DCU as a result of the Time Crash.
- Worlds Collide (1994): Instead of the DCU, Fred Benson could end up connected with a different reality.
- Our Worlds at War: An alien character from another piece of media could end up as part of the alliance against Imperiex.
- Convergence: Any timeline that Brainiac thinks is doomed could have one of its cities taken to Telos.
- Dark Nights: Metal: Any world could have a twisted mirror in the Dark Multiverse.
- Heroes in Crisis: A hero could come to Sanctuary for mental health assistance.
- DC K.O.: Several Guest Fighters have already been announced to be making appearances, so who else might join the tournament?
- The Department of Truth: The Setting runs on Clap Your Hands If You Believe. If a large enough number of people believe a piece of media is real, it can be.
- DIE (2018): Any character can be trapped in DIE and forced to face their inner demons.
- Fables: Any fictional character can be a fable. Alternately the "world without magic" can be a different setting.
- Hack/Slash: Cassie and Vlad can hunt any slasher.
- The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: All fiction is true in the League-verse, so every character exists in some capacity there.
- Marvel Universe:
- Captain America: If a character was around during World War II, they could potentially encounter Cap.
- Spider-Man: Any character could be bitten by the radioactive spider.
- X-Men: Any human character could be a mutant.
- Secret Wars (1984): Any world that could conceivably fit into Earth-616's cosmos could have a piece of it taken to form Battleworld and any heroes and villains could be summoned to take part in the Beyonder's game.
- Annihilation: Similar to the above, any world that could fit into the cosmos of Earth-616 could come under threat from the Annihilation Wave.
- Inhumanity: Any human character could have Inhuman ancestry and undergo Terrigenesis upon exposure to the Terrigen mists.
- Secret Wars (2015): Any version of Earth (or another world if Earth is absent) could become the site of an Incursion and any characters could end up on Battleworld as a consequence.
- Mickey Mouse: In "A Mickey Mystery", Doctor Einmug displays an invention that lets one see what life is like on alternate Earths and later Mickey transfers to one such world. So far the invention has only been used for a few "Disney-like" worlds. Imagine if the invention was used for other kinds of worlds as well.
- Reborn (2016): Anyone can die and be reborn in the afterlife world.
- Requiem Vampire Knight: Any person associated with evil in some manner can die and be reborn in Résurrection.
- Sonic the Hedgehog (IDW): How would crossover characters react to the Metal Virus?
- Spawn: Any Anti-Hero or villain can die, go to hell and be chosen to be a hellspawn.
Fan Works
- The Conversion Bureau: Equestria and the Barrier could show up in any world.
- Coreline: Any character could wind up in the Core Timeline during or after the 23 Hours.
- It's a Kid's World: If the work of fiction focuses on children in a modern setting, how might they react to the Big Vanish?
- Siren: The Drowning: Since the cause of the Deluge is unknown, one could have any apocalyptic event revealed to be the Deluge.
Film - Live Action
- Avatar:
- Replace the RDA with a different humanity or race from a different media. Bonus points if there are Planet Looters that can fill in the RDA's canonical villainous role.
- Alternatively, retain the RDA and replace the Navi with a different race.
- Men in Black: The MIB can be called in to deal with any alien.
- Stay Tuned has great crossover potential, as Hellvision has 666 channels, but only a few of them appear in the film. One could initiate a crossover by simply having the Knables (or only Roy or Helen) slip into yet another channel that just happens to be broadcasting a rerun of another movie or a TV show.
- The Day After/Threads: This might run the risk of the crossover looking like a Hate Fic even if it isn't, not to mention nobody has ever done stuff like this before, but what happens in these films? Apply it to anywhere else.
Literature
- Anno Dracula: Since it is a Alternate History where Dracula won and later Public Domain Canon Welding, any character turn up, even centuries after their birth thanks to vampirism.
- An Assiti Shard could land at any location and ring-of-fire it away to anywhere, and anywhen, else.
- Campione!: Any character with human blood can slay a Heretic God and become a Campione.
- Gate: Have the titular Gate open into a different setting.
- The Eminence in Shadow: Cid can reincarnate into any setting with a Nebulous Evil Organisation to fight.
- High School D×D: Any character can become a devil through a Evil Piece or join other supernatural factions. Similarly crossover supernatural factions can get involved in the larger Urban Fantasy setting.
- His Dark Materials: Any world could be part of His Dark Materials's multiverse.
- The Divine Comedy: A crossover character can be placed in a ring of hell, a terrace of purgatory or a sphere of heaven.
- Hundred: The Slayers can land on a different planet.
- InterWorld: Any setting can fall somewhere in the science-magic divine of the multiverse.
- John Carter of Mars: Almost anyone can be transported to Barsoom.
- Leviathan (Scott Westerfeld): As the story is in a World War 1 where Clock Punk and Bio Punk are developed, most fiction involving the two can crossover.
- My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!: Catarina can be reborn in a different work fiction, perhaps as a different villainess.
- Philip José Farmer created the Wold-Newton Family, which had Public Domain Characters as Crossover Relatives. Any characters can be part of the family.
- Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Was Not: The theme of the multiverse/stories are different characters replace Doctor Watson as Sherlock's partner. This can be done with crossover characters.
- A Song of Ice and Fire: As the nobles of Westeros are Grouped for Your Convenience into families with similar traits, anyone writing a Transplanted Character Fic can subject the crossover characters to a test of personality to see which family suits that character.
- Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs: It would be easy to replace Luxion for another "cheat item", perhaps altering the setting's background.
Live-Action TV
- Babylon 5: Replace the Earth Alliance with a different humanity or race from a different media.
- Beforeigners: Any character from the past could be "timeigrated" to the present or future.
- Kamen Rider: It is easy to do Fusion Fic as the riders are Phlebotinum Rebel. Simply add Toku elements, create Kaman Rider OC if there is no canon candidate and you're done.
- Sense8: Any human character can be a Sensate and form a Cluster with other characters.
- Sliders:
- Any of the myriad Alternate Universes the characters slide through could serve as a backdrop for an Alternate Universe Elsewhere Fic.
- Any character could find (or if they're smart enough, invent) a sliding machine to go on their own interdimensional odyssey.
- Star Trek: Replace Starfleet with a different humanity or race from a different media.
Podcasts
- Midnight Burger: The diner can travel anywhere in time, space and between universes in its own multiverse, so it's not a stretch for it to appear in other stories too. It even had a crossover like that with The Amelia Project.
Tabletop Games
- City of Mist: Any story can be a mythos empowering a Rift.
- Cyberpunk (R. Talsorian): Any MegaCorp can be one of many in the cyberpunk landscape.
- The End of the World: One of the Scenarios could be applied to another work's setting, forcing that world's characters to fight to survive.
- Gunslinger Knights: The knights can visit different worlds in the multiverse.
- Rotted Capes: Since the setting is Standard Super-Hero Setting mixed with Zombie Apocalypse, anything can be put in. Also, the cause of the Z-virus is never explained, so it is possible to link it to other fiction.
- Scion: Much like Percy Jackson and the Olympians, any character can be the child, creation, or chosen one of a god.
- Shadowrun: In the backstory, The Magic Comes Back in a Cyberpunk setting, allows Fusion Fic with the former and fantasy. The fact magic has real history and has elements of Clap Your Hands If You Believe helps.
- Any character can be (or become) a creature from the Old World of Darkness or Chronicles of Darkness.
- Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Any Evil, Inc. can be part of Pentex, especially if they are also Toxic, Inc..
- Mage: The Ascension: Like The Department of Truth above, if a Mage believes a work of fiction is real, it can be to them as seen in Senshi: The Merchandising.
- Vampire: The Requiem: As Vampires can mutate and give rise to Bloodlines, perhaps a crossover element can cause a mutation. Plus the setting has a Mad Scientist faction in the form of The Ordo Dracul who would want to research the changes.
- Werewolf: The Forsaken: As literally anything but humans can create spirits, The Forsaken can drawn in a crossover to deal with the resulting spirits.
- The Strange: Any fiction can be a recursion.
Toys
- Ever After High: A crossover character's descendant can enter Ever After High.
Video Games
- ANNO: Mutationem: Any story set in Cyberpunk and Post-Cyberpunk can have its characters make an appearance.
- Dead by Daylight: Given the game’s history of guest fighters, what other characters could be Survivors or Killers?
- Dead Space: A different humanity can encounter the Necromorphs.
- Destroy All Humans!: Have Crypto land in a different setting.
- Dispatch: Any character that can be called a superhero or supervillain can work at the Superhero Dispatch Network.
- Fortnite: One or more characters could end up in the Loop.
- Genshin Impact: The Traveler can travel between different worlds and thus can explore a different setting.
- Halo:
- Replace Halo humanity with a different humanity from a different media.
- Alien Races can be part of The Covenant.
- In Mods of Hearts of Iron like The New Order: Last Days of Europe, Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg or Red Flood, characters can be part of political parties.
- The Legend of Zelda: Thanks to the cycle, Link, Zelda, Ganon and the rest can reincarnate into an different era/setting.
- The Longest Journey Saga: The central premise is about two worlds, one of science, the other magic. One or both can be replaced with a fantasy and/or sci-fi of one's choosing.
- Outerplane: It is canon that people from across the multiverse can be summoned to Mirsha.
- At the end of Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Kaileena leaves after saying there are other worlds, and that she will find her place. She could appear in any world of your choosing, even if only briefly.
- Any setting with a Sliding Scale of Anthropomorphism can have a Fusion Fic with Sonic the Hedgehog.
Visual Novels
- Nasuverse: The sheer amount of Public Domain Canon Welding and Fantasy Kitchen Sink means the only real obstacle to a Fusion Fic is the complex "Magic A" Is "Magic A" rules.
Web Animation
- Zipped Up: The Main Four end up in another show via a Zipper Portal.
Webcomics
- Girl Genius: Any Mad Scientist can be a Spark in the Alternate History of the setting.
- Sire: A character (Sailor Earth or Crossover) can be descended from characters whose stories could have taken place in the past.

- SCP Foundation: The Fantasy Kitchen Sink nature of the SCP Foundation multiverse makes it easy to slot pretty much any character into it.
- SCP 1437 is a portal to other realities, each with its' own version of the Foundation. This means it can be used to travel to other settings and/or have the Foundation elsewhere.
Western Animation
- Ben 10:
- The Omnitrix can land anywhere, even different planets.
- The Omnitrix contains/scans the DNA of aliens from other franchises.
- Any Kid Hero can be part of the Kids Next Door.
- Generator Rex: Any organic character can go EVO, forcing Rex to fight and cure them.
- Kid Cosmic: Instead of landing in the deserts of the Western United States near Mo’s Oasis, the "Cosmic Stones of Power" could instead end up near a crossover character.
- Over the Garden Wall: One or more crossover characters could end up in the Unknown instead of or in addition to Wirt and Greg.
- Smiling Friends: Charlie and Pim are sent to make the crossover character smile.
- Steven Universe: The Gems can try and colonize a different earth.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: As the source of the the Ooze that mutated the Turtles is often an alien race that crash landed on Earth from outer space or another dimension (Depending on the Writer), said aliens can land in another setting that has turtles to mutate and Ninja to teach them.
