, he apologizes and just asks for an assurance that it isn't anything dangerous or illegal. Sydney says she thinks it isn't but she honestly doesn't know, and that she's being secretive because she doesn't want to get anyone else involved, just in case. Joel then drops the subject (and sends Sydney on her fateful errand to the bank). - Sydney is thrilled to take an open-air flight without worrying about being discovered. The experience is capped off when Maxima explains that she'd been steadily accelerating to test Sydney's speed and they'd reached nearly 400 mph without Sydney even noticing.

- "You're neat." There's never any question that Dabbler genuinely likes her teammates and considers them her friends, but she tends to express that friendship through endless snark and teasing. To have her simply, unironically tell someone she likes them is oddly touching.
- Maxima explains what a medal truly represents. As a direct contrast to Sydney's mangled Napoleon quote, it's profound.
- "Master! Master! I did the thing with my boobs! Come see!" Parfait is just so proud of herself for mastering one of the key succubus abilities. And both Thothogoth and Dabbler are so proud of her too. They actually pause in the midst of their brawl to shout their encouragement and approval. Dabbler is such a good big sister, and Thothogoth is such a good...all of the weird combination of relationships that go into being "master" to a succubus in this setting. Small wonder the council of succubus matriarchs approved him for a second "slave".
- Turns out Deus has the standard of Never Hurt an Innocent, at least in regards to killing. The last time Vale accidentally did, he made her watch a ten hour "this was their life" presentation and made her cry to make sure it wouldn't happen again.
- Anvil mentions that she'd love to go offworld shopping sometime. Sydney immediately offers to take her to Fracture station.
- The smile on Maxima's face as Dabbler, Cora, Krona, and Leon start brainstorming a way to make the disguising choker work. It's not often that she lets her emotional guard down to that extent, but she's clearly touched.
- After learning about Lapha's Dark and Troubled Past, Sydney is so heartbroken that she agrees to let Lapha stay in her body on a shared custody-basis. Unprompted by Lapha, mind you, Sydney offered to change her entire life simply because she felt bad for a villain who possessed her against her will.
- After Lapha is returned to her own body and recruited to work for ARCHON rather than go to prison, Sydney reaches out to her, letting bygones be bygones rather than risk allowing festering resentment to get in the way of the team.

She asks Frix to choose something, and he responds, "There. Perfect." after resetting the image projector to show Sydney's normal appearance.
