But the ending of the video reveals the real purpose for spending that much money to buy so much merch: As gifts for all his friends and fellow content creators who helped him get to where he is now. There's even a lengthy montage of said friends unboxing his gift packages and smiling in joy at all the merch he got for them. It's not even that Jacob filled each box with a random assortment and sent them on their way, he catered each package to his friends' interests and tastes, knowing full well what they like and giving them gifts accordingly. After everything they've done to help Jacob get to where he is, this is his way of thanking them and giving them something back in return.
