Amrum is a 2025 German war drama film directed by Fatih Akın, and co-written by Akın and Hark Bohm. It stars Jasper Billerbeck as Nanning, Kian Köppke as Hermann, Laura Tonke as Hille Hagener, Diane Kruger as Tessa Bendixen and Matthias Schweighöfer as Uncle Theo.
The film is based off the childhood memories of Hark Bohm and is set in the spring of 1945, during the final days of World War II, on the eponymous German North Sea island of Amrum.
Nanning is a middle-schooler who lives with his mother Hille, his aunt Ena and his siblings. He is a member of the Nazi Youth, and his parents are nazis: his father is away due to the war, and his mother doesn't want to hear about the possible end of the war.
Food supplies are rare, and Nanning's mother doesn't eat much, complaining that she misses white bread, butter and honey. Nanning stops going to school and secretly goes on errands to provide her with these.
It was released in Germany on October 9, 2025 after premiering at the Cannes Film Festival earlier that year.

Amrum provides examples of:
- All Germans Are Nazis: Averted. Only a few characters are nazis, and most people on the island are hoping the war will end soon. Tessa, a farmer that Nanning helped with her work, gets in trouble for telling him that the war is going to end.
- Death from Above: The children observe Allied bombers in the sky from afar as they work on a potato field. Some bombs are dropped into the sea very close to them. Later, they talk about Nanning's house in Hamburg, that burned down because of air raids.
- The Foreign Subtitle: The French title is quite a bit longer, going with Une enfance allemande : Île d'Amrum, 1945 - A German Childhood: Island of Amrum, 1945. What qualifies as subtitle here actually goes before the name of the island.
- The Place: The name of the isle of Amrum is the film's title.
- Smash the Symbol: The photo of Adolf Hitler being burned in a stove.
- Super Drowning Skills: A kid runs after Nanning, intending to extort food from him, into the sea. He almost drowns and Nanning has to help him out.
