Unity Force Redux, or stylised as Unity Force [REDUX], is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover Fanfic series by meetoureyes, released on March 8, 2025, three years after it was on hiatus back in 2022. It is the second and current iteration of the original Unity Force series, released back in 2021.

While this remained the same as its original iteration, a lot of canon elements from the original were changed and now contradicted to this iteration, which includes changes to the story, as well as characters and new characterisations not present in the original iteration. This makes it a loose Continuity Reboot, as some elements from the previous iteration were carried over to this iteration.

Tropes associated to the series:

• Adaptational Badass: Most normal heroes fall into this trope such as:
  • Chito has the powers of Crimson Lightning in this series, which allows her to use lightning-based powers. She eventually evolves it to the more powerful Vermilion Lightning.
  • Yuuri, by extension, is more skilled in using her rifle that it becomes her primary weapon. She also has the powers to turn it to turn it into a five-barrelled weapon and can dish out fire and ice attacks in a whim.
• Adaptational Hairstyle Change: Ai Narata has a much longer hair than her original incarnation of the fic. This is Justified due to this being post-canon Ai (after Episode 13) and not her first appearance.
• Adaptational Superpower Change: Sayo and Hina Hikawa, as well as all of Roselia, do not have powers here unlike their original Unity Force incarnation.
• Age Lift:
  • Chito is somewhere in her early-20s in her original work. She is 25 here.
  • Yuuri, like Chito, was in her early-20s, who is younger than Chito. She is 24 here.
  • Zoro Roronoa was 21, which was his age after the post-timeskip in One Piece. He is 22 in this series, which is justified as he has been with the Unity Force for over a year.
  • Maya Tendo was 17 in her home series. She is at least 19-20 years old at the start of this series, which is justified as the story takes place one-and-a-half year into the present.

• Back from the Dead: The Elysium serves as the place where souls of the deceased, including former villains, were given a second chance to be revived in the afterlife. Unless if you're Ragyou Kiryuin or Nui Harime.
• Badass in Distress:
  • In Chapter 2 of Chronicles, Suzuno Kamazuki, Dorothy and Reona West, as well as Chacha were held captive by Naberius before Saitama's group, Sadao Maou, and Shiine and Riiya saved them.
  • In Chapter 8 of Chronicles, Angelina Kudou Shields was kidnapped by the members of Neo-Order after Ghetsis ambushed the Touya group ^note Gray Fullbuster, Natsu Dragneel, Giorno Giovanna, Angelina Kudou Shields, Eimi Amelia Goldie Akechi, Jinbe, Kyouko Sakura, Sayaka Miki, Deacon St. John, and Sean Matsuda at a dead end, forcing the rest of the heroes to fend off against Dahlia Gillespie (the Big Bad of the Haunted Trouble arc) and her remaining Co-Dragons at her main base in Nanahara to rescue Angelina from her grasp.
  • In Chapter 12 of Blue Reflection arc, Mahito and the Disaster Curses ambushed the heroes stationed there including Kenpachi Zaraki, Nero, Genis Sage, Lloyd Irving, and Lain Iwakura, forcing Chito's group to visit the now-compromised hideout and rescue them.
  • In Chapter 18 of RAGE arc, after retrieving the decrypter at the newly-resurfaced Ark, Anders Benoit then ambushed the group, before Benoit managed to shoot Maya Tendo from behind during the group's escape at the Jackal Canyon, forcing Maya to be out of commission for the remainder of the arc.
  • In Chapter 2 of Flip Flappers arc, after the mass-displacement incident, heroes like Tsubaki Sadamitsu, Chito, and Papika were held captive by the villagers before freeing themselves. Noelle Silva was held captive on a temple who is Bound and Gagged and in bondage gear, being used as a Lust Object and a harem member for the resident Psycho Lesbian Welwitschia after getting curb-stomped by her off-screen. Both Yuuri and Cocona were Brainwashed and Crazy by the brainwashing mask that Welwitschia's harem placed on their heads; then later where she held them captive by using Bu-chan. Asta was ambushed by both Lust and Gouma, forcing Red to save him later on in the chapter.
• Big Bad:
  • Black Matter is the overall main antagonist of the series. He is the shadowy leader of the Phantom Brotherhood, a legion of villains from the multiverse, who wants to instill his twisted view of One World Order.
  • Unity Force Missions: The Sprocket Kingdom has Hyman Withers, the commander of the Silver Legion, who is responsible for the attack of the Nakiri mansion in Normal Earth, hatches a plan to start another war against the titular kingdom. Withers is a Dragon with an Agenda as he is on a Big Bad Ensemble between his superior Maxwell Cornelis Hawkes, the true leader of the Legion, whose goal overshadows the goal of his dragon Withers.
  • Unity Force Missions: RAGE has General Martin Cross per canon, being responsible for the existence of the Authority and are menacing the Wasteland's people with their goals of One World Order. However, they are on a Big Bad Duumvirate with the Phantom Brotherhood, who are allies with them.
  • Unity Force Missions: Blue Reflection has a Big Bad Ensemble between the Sephirot and Mahito's Disaster Curses. However, Mahito and his crew are the ones that menace Chito's group the most with their army of Cursed Spirits, while the Sephirot are the immediate threat to the Reflectors and the Unity Force. Also, unlike the Sephirot, Mahito's antagonism towards Chito's group is more personal, having wanted to cause chaos by breaking Chito through indirect means. However, Mahito is a Big Bad Wannabe to his master Odin, who serves as the real Big Bad alongside Daath as the Big Bad Ensemble of the fic.
  • Unity Force Missions: Flip Flappers has three main villains in a form of Big Bad Ensemble. There's MissingNo., who is working with the Brotherhood, and its army of Glitch Pokémon menacing Earth-2491 for purposes of causing chaos; Asclepius and its High Priest who want to collect the Amorphous for their schemes of world domination; and the mysterious and enigmatic Umbra Nox Eternis, who menaces Earth-2491 for months and plans on hunting down Cocona and Papika due to her hatred towards magical girls, yet her motivations are unknown.
  • Unity Force: Chronicles has few Arc Villains that serve as the Big Bad of their own chapters:
    • Chapter 2: Normal Day in Sasahata... has the Original Character Naberius/Naoto Bessho, who is a rogue Archdemon from Ente Isla, having imprisoned a group of heroes for his own twisted goals. He is the true identity of Naoto Bessho, the "detective" that the heroes met in their goal to find out the culprit, when he is later revealed to be the mastermind.
    • Chapter 3: It's Showtime! has an ensemble between Lorenzo Medici and the new Skullgirl Rika Furude after defeating the previous Skullgirl Marie Korbel. However, unlike Lorenzo who's a thorn to the Unity Force on the city side of things and is the leader of the Medicis, Rika is an Anti-Villain but a serious threat to New Meridian due to her newfound Skullgirl powers and is the one that the heroes must stop before she can wreak havoc.
    • Chapter 4: The Saitama Group has the Original Character Thaddeus Miyake, a brilliant yet deranged Mad Scientist who, like Naberius, purchased a group of hero slaves for his twisted experiments.
    • Chapter 5: Old Foes, New Foes has Dahlia Gillespie, the ex-leader of The Order, having been revived to create a new cult to continue her goals, with the help of her new Co-Dragons Ruvik, Stefano Valentini and Theodore Wallace; and Ghetsis, where all four of them were Demoted to Dragon. They are also the main antagonists of the whole Haunted Trouble arc (Chapters 6-9).
    • Chapters 10-14 has a Big Bad Duumvirate between Katherine Marlowe and Jacob Arthur Danik, who are both Co-Dragons to Boris Alvingham, as both of them are co-opting his multiverse slave operations within Wormwood.
• Breather Episode: The entirety of Unity Force: Non-Missions is this, as it focuses mainly on fics that either have no villain conflict or simply visiting slice-of-life worlds.
• Canon Welding: Per the existence of True Hero Alliance, which was an original concept from the story of the same name (here) before it was dormant, it was ultimately welded into this series as another hero organisation that existed long before the Unity Force did.
• Cast from Hit Points: Chito's Crimson Lightning is enough to cause physical damage after losing her eye following her awakening it to defeat Mahito.
• Decomposite Character: V from Cyberpunk 2077 is separated into two distinct entities: both the male option Vincent and the female option Valerie, who are now characters of their own.
• Like Brother and Sister: Dorothy and Reona West are this towards Genos.
• Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Self-explanatory. But the inclusion of some characters that are tied to only a single medium make their appearance.
• Named In The Adaptation: Naruko's husband (now ex-husband) is named as Shoutarou.
• Odd Friendship: Being a multiversal story, this series features so many of these friendships, which includes the following:
  • Zoro Roronoa and Maya Tendo, being one example. One who is a pirate and the other being a prima donna stage actor in a music academy, where their only commonality is their skill.
  • Hayate Ayasaki, Kanta Mizuno, and Nagi Sanzenin, though the former two often act as rivals, thanks to their differing backgrounds.
  • Sanji Vinsmoke and Hibiki Shikyoin are also another example, one a pirate and another an idol.
  • The band members of Roselia are friends with two of the members of Straw Hat Pirates, Brook and Usopp, characters from One Piece. However, Sayo Hikawa and Yukina Minato tend to not get along with both of them due to their conflicting personalities.
  • Amane Sumeragi (from Waccha PriMagi!) and Chito, where the former is a third-year junior high student and the latter is a mid-20s hero. The reasons for their odd friendship were only implied in Chapter 19 of Unity Force: Stories, when the former met the latter at a café at Arawashi School, who was initially unaware of Chito's background as a member of the Unity Force.
  • Mood-Swinger Nina Iseri (from Girls Band Cry) is friends with The Stoic Rui Yashio and the theatrical Kaoru Seta (both from BanG Dream!), with Nina meeting Kaoru during the latter's first-year in Haneoka.
  • Dan Mandel (from Dan Vs.) is friends with Soyo Nagasaki (from BanG Dream!), who is a complete opposite in many ways.
• Reformed Criminal: Many former villains were redeemed and turned to the good side, including Calamity Mary, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Hidan, etc.
• Rogues' Gallery Transplant: Inevitably, due to the Massive Multiplayer Crossover nature of the series, many of the villains from other works have become members of the main protagonists' Rogues Gallery. Prominent examples including:
  • Katsumata from 20th Century Boys, who is typically associated with Kenji as his Arch-Enemy. He becomes the secondary Arch-Enemy of both Maya Tendo and particularly Zoro Roronoa in the present time, two heroes that Katsumata had not crossed paths with.
  • Embryo from Cross Ange is a typical Arch-Enemy to both Ange and Tusk. Here, he also gets involved with Zoro, whom he has never met before, as he was pivotal to Zoro's backstory, being one of Zoro's primary opponents in the past.
  • Odin and the Aesir from God of War Ragnarök are typically associated as Kratos' enemies in the series' Norse saga. However, as Kratos has yet to make his appearance, they are instead the main opponents to Chito, with Odin who serves as her Arch-Enemy.
  • Father from Fullmetal Alchemist is a typical foe to Van Hohenheim and Elric Brothers. However, he becomes Yuuri's principal arch-enemy.
• Sitcom Arch-Nemesis:
  • Hayate Ayasaki and Kanta Mizuno fall into this trope. Despite being friends, they often act as rivals to one another. It doesn't help the fact that they both live on different sides of the law in their respective worlds. Eventually, their rivalry extended to small things like competing at Luck Or No Luck casino.
  • Zoro Roronoa and Sanji Vinsmoke, as per canon.
  • Sayo Hikawa, Roselia's guitarist, does not usually get along with Usopp and Brook, due to the former being an annoying coward and the latter being an immature goof.
• Spared by the Adaptation: Mami, Kyoko, and Sayaka are all alive in this universe.
• Unrelated in the Adaptation: In the original continuity, Kozakura was related to Miyako Izumo as her sister. However, she isn't related here due to Miyako not appearing in this fic, having had Kozakura's character retconned and changed.
