From translators to fan artists to general hobbyists and everyone in-between, there are plenty of people in the hololive community with enough of a presence that they catch the attention of even the talents themselves.
Translators and clippers
- lyger
, a clipper who dedicates most of his channel to Matsuri content and is responsible for translating her more well-known moments. Outside of his channel, he was also seen as a respectable source of information regarding the Taiwan incident and hololive's history with the Chinese market and has been acknowledged by Matsuri herself enough to be brought on as a channel moderator. - NexatG
, who's considered to be Kiara's "(unofficially) official clipper", to the point that Kiara commissioned them to make her end of year highlights video
. - Einnashu
, a clipper who mainly clips Aki Rosenthal vids. Many current fans found out about her through his clips of her belly dancing lessons. He also was the one who clipped the video of Aki revealing her worries (which proceeded to ultimately boost her confidence as spark a new period of growth). As a result, a number of RoseTai speak his name with reverence. - Jin Teramachi
is a clipper that mainly clips Okayu stuff and is seen as an authority on her, like when he stepped in to explain a moment
that was clipped by another, but translated questionably at best. He has also made subs for some videos on the main Hololive channel. - Kowkarot
has been known for compiling clips from multiple streams, creating highlight reels that condense otherwise multiple hours' worth of content. These compilations can go for up to half an hour showing, for instance, how Kiara turned a random village into Phoenixton
, or the prep work leading up into EN's showdown with the Ender Dragon
. Their efforts would be recognized by the talents themselves as they are credited for editing on "Ame vs the Sun
" and the Holomyth anniversary compilation
.
Artists
- DanceDanceRevolution enthusiast-turned-animator Kanauru
quickly gained traction in 2021 for his expertly hololive 3D short animations (sometimes featuring other VTubers like Pikamee Amano). The popularity of his 3D animations in the later half of 2021 is such that he was chosen to direct the music video for holoMyth's "Myth or Treat"
, and later Kiara's and Amelia's "Dreamin Chuchu"
and Ame's "Smol Adventures: Link Your Wish"
, the latter of which was an official advert for holoMyth's 3D performance at the third hololive concert. Ever since, he's seemingly been on hololive's speed dial for music videos and 3D shorts, with him having the honor of making the MVs for MiComet's "Sugar Rush", Gen 5's "BLUE CLAPPER", Magni's cover of "Escape From The City" and IRyS's "Carbonated Love", among others. - Brazilian animator 2Snacks
entered the fandom's spotlight after releasing a series of animated shorts featuring Korone, with the most prominent example being of the infamous Eekum Bokum
meme. His work quickly gained traction among not just the fanbases of the idols featured in the shorts, but the talents themselves, with Polka and Gura being particularly notable fans. To say that works by 2Snacks are wildly popular would be a severe Understatement, with many of them receiving millions of views at minimum, and lots of attention from Hololive's combined fanbases. - Independent artist Walf
, originally an equally big-name fan within the Touhou community (and the creator of create.swf, a small Touhou comic-making program) has picked up on the Hololive EN talent and started regularly creating short animations using some of their more memorable moments as inspiration. The designs have been acknowledged by all the talent, with Calliope using several of them as part of her standby screen as well as the stream of her begging for permission to play Persona 3. He has a particular fondness for Amelia Watson note , something the fan community has picked up on and started incorporating his renditions of her into their own art, making "smol Ame" out to be a being of incomprehensible power. His designs were so well liked by the Holo EN girls that they even commissioned him to make models
for them, showing them all off in the April Fool's collab in all of their chibi glory. - DuDuL
has proven himself to be prevalent member of the community with his animations. During Gura's birthday stream on June 20th, 2021, he was among the 250 fans who compiled a book of fanart and letters showing their support for her. She read his letter and started to cry because she rekindled his passion for animation. - Ludokano
is a 3d animator and remixer. He uploaded silly little videos after Advent debuted but seemed to found a fountain of silly memes from Bijou to work on, which prompted the infamous "Sticking Out Your Gyatt For Nerizzler". Over time, he became the main animator of Bijou's loading screen as well as some of Bijou and Advent's music videos, starting with the April Fools remix of Rebellion, Team Tomodachi and even a remix of Bijou's first original Prism no Mahou. Fittingly, the first song he produced outside of remixes is Bijou's second original "Rock In".
Musicians
- Online pianist Pan Piano
, known for doing her music covers while cosplaying and never showing her face, was first noticed by the hololive fandom in early 2021 when she covered Ride on Time while cosplaying as Gura. She has since played a number of hololive originals while dressed as the idol to whom the song is attributed, often getting noticed by the idol in question. Miko has actually been a fan of hers for a long time and was elated when Pan covered Sakurakaze and joined her membership just a few days after
. - The 8-Bit Drummer has done a lot of hololive covers and gets honored to cover the then unreleased MiKorone song which he plays in a video recording for the 24-hour MiKorone stream.
- Toby Fox is a fan of Kanata. Yes, that Toby Fox. Kanata caught his attention during her playthrough of Undertale, where her rollercoaster of emotions inspired him to compose a song about angels, struggle, and hope,
which ultimately became Fallen Wing.
Creators and celebrities
- Japanese pro-wrestler Great-O-Khan
is an unabashed Subatomo, one more than happy to share his happiness as a fan on Twitter. He has also incorporated Subaru's improvised hold from Holo no Graffiti into his repertoire as the "Oozora-Style Sheep Killer" and that move has since expanded into a duo move that is named after Subaru, Fubuki and Marine. - Apex Legends EU Champion "rpr"
first made himself known outside the Apex community as the guy who ended up becoming a fan of Towa and wants to kill off those who killed Towa in the game by taking their names. He ends up playing a session with Towa alongside TrulySquid
to act as the translator. By 2022, rpr's vested interest in VTubing led to him debuting as one, and his frequent collabs with Towa, Ollie, and holoTEMPUS since then further cemented his position as an Ascended Fanboy who kept winning at life among their collective fanbases. - Sakuma Daisuke
, idol singer and actor from Snow Man
, is a bigtime Hoshiyomi who takes after his oshi and promotes her every chance he gets. When she learned that he's her fan and wished him happy birthday, he was floored, ecstatic and wasted no time in talking her up. - Kawahara Reki, author of Sword Art Online, is a big 35p. He derailed a stream
meant to promote his new book by fanboying over Miko and even mentioned that he finished the draft for said book because that was the only way his editor would allow him to meet her. - Veteran Japanese voice actresses Misato Fukuen and Marina Inoue are Ichimi. When Marine went to meet them (and Ayane Sakura) behind the scenes
for the voice work video
for her RPG, The Second World, they were just as nervous to meet her as she was meeting them. - Hideo Kojima of all people is a proud Nousagi. What began as a cursory interest in Pekora due to her Metal Gear Solid playthroughs quickly blew up into an earnest following after discovering her love for the series, with Kojima frequently tweeting about tuning in for her streams
, showcasing her merchandises that he bought
, and retweeting plenty of her MGS-style fanart on both his official Japanese and English accounts. Pekora ended up being invited in August 2024
to visit Kojima Productions' studio, much to her delight (and everyone else's bewilderment). To add to everyone's astonishment, it was announced that Pekora would also make a cameo appearance in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach as a Prepper
. - South Korean vlogger hwikky
is known in the English and Indonesian fandom, and by even some of the members like Ollie and Zeta, for his videos giving non-Koreans a peak into his country's Hololive community.
Other Fans and Chat Members
- With only a single fan video, a red superchat to tell Gura about it, and a subsequent appearance at the Dallas Fanexpo, Flurrybolt
managed to become a legend in the fan community. He's since made a follow-up video, and it's clearly evident the impact that his own previous video had on it. - PlatinumKnight
, originally only making "A Special Message For Amelia Watson" (with Big Man Tyrone) as a joke, went on to commission several more videos for the rest of the Hololive EN crew and is recognized widely in the community as well as by official members; Calliope Mori has made a comment on most of his videos, and Coco Kiryu has mentioned and watched his content on Asacoco. When Coco herself was referenced in one of his videos, she was appropriately afraid
of what kind of content would be in store for her parody. His content is regarded as the most expensive shitposts that anyone could make, with "A Special Message for Gawr Gura" costing over $1300 alone. - Taotan
is a cosplayer from Thailand, who became well-known for her extremely realistic and detailed cosplays of a wide variety of Hololive members, though most primarily Hakos Baelz who is her oshi. She is almost treated like a celeb at conventions she visits, while many talents have come to recognise her and frequently retweet her cosplays. - Jimmy Weebshooter
is a Thai Rose-tai who rose to prominence during the 4th Fes, where he cosplayed as Mukirose and proudly proclaimed his support for Aki when he was interviewed, which moved her to tears of joy when she saw. Afterwards, he inspired many other "tank-build" cosplays, where large and muscular men like himself dress like their oshis. By the time of 5th Fes, he rose to even greater prominence, networking with other notable cosplayers and becoming something of a nexus for many Holofans to gather around. (He's even met up with the above-mentioned Great-O-Khan
at HoloFes.) - Dentman
, a tooth-themed mascot who looks like a tokusatsu hero and encourages everyone to have proper dental hygiene, has been interacting with a lot of vtubers including several Holostars EN members. But the one he replies to the most is Flayon who became his fan. Dentman even greeted Flayon
on his birthday and reminded him to brush his teeth. Dentman and Flay would later get a collab voicepack after Flay's third anniversary. - A minor one in well-known superchatter Eating Mike Tyson's Ass. First made himself known by donating to Korone (who thanks to her English studies knew exactly what his name meant), he started spreading around to other members with different results. He even got fanart (which was just a drawing of Korone biting Mike Tyson's butt). He is now considered a living legend among the fanbase, and his presence sends the chat completely nuts.
- One member of the Bettelion, heff jardy, has reached celebrity status among Holostars EN, due to a cryptic superchat that gives Bettel a date and time with no context*, making Bettel wonder what will befall him that day. heff jardy eventually reveals in the following New Years that the date was chosen as it's his birthday, though the date itself is recognized as a Pop Culture Holiday for the Bettelion.
