Arc Productions (Creator)

Arc Productions (formerly known as DKP Studios and Starz Animation) was a Canadian animation studio based in Toronto that specialized itself in the realm of CGI.

Established in 1985 as Dan Krech Productions, it was one of the first visual effects companies in Toronto. DKP had produced visual effects and animation for over 2,000 commercials and long-form projects by 2000, many of them for U.S. clients. DKP moved to a new facility on Queen Street East in March 2001. American telecommunications company IDT Corporation acquired DKP on March 16, 2004.

In May 2006, Liberty Media bought IDT Entertainment from IDT, which also includes Anchor Bay Entertainment and fellow animation studio Film Roman, and merged it with the Starz cable network to form Starz Media, which led to the studio to be renamed to Starz Animation. In April 2011, Starz sold the studio to a Canadian consortium, and it was renamed to its current name. Under the new owner, the studio was planning to do more proprietary production.

The company went bankrupt in 2016, which locked out over 500 employees after telling them there was a payroll glitch and no one had been paid. It was then bought out by Jam Filled Entertainment shortly after.
