Wade Wilson: Deadpool is a 2026 comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The series is written by Benjamin Percy with art by Geoff Shaw.
Deadpool has suffered an immense personal tragedy that has left him suicidal, so now he is recklessly taking the most dangerous jobs he can find.
The first issue was released February 11, 2026.
Wade Wilson: Deadpool provides examples of:
- The Bus Came Back: Blind Al makes a reappearance after last being seen in Wolverine (2020).
- The Cameo: Hammerhead appears in issue #1 as Deadpool's latest client.
- Death Seeker: Deadpool is depressed and looking to be hurt as painfully as possible due to Ellie's disappearance.
- Driving Question: What happened to Ellie? All that's known right now is she was sucked into a portal.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Hammerhead, who is a ruthless mob boss, is disturbed by Wade's maniacal behavior and tells him he needs "serious help".
- Happy Ending Override: The end of the previous series had Wade and Ellie united as a happy family and partners. However, this series opens up with Deadpool depressed, suicidal, and living alone with Blind Al again, with neither Ellie nor Princess in sight. All that's known is that something bad happened to Ellie.
- Red Sock Ruins the Laundry: Wade keeps mixing his costume in with Blind Al's laundry, causing her white underwear to become pink.
- The Tape Knew You Would Say That: Wade receives multiple letters telling him the future, which immediately come true. The last note Wade receives specifically asks if the writer has his attention.
- Trojan Horse: Deadpool disguises himself as a cow in order to sneak onto a train.
- Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Wade receives a note telling him that a group of clown terrorists are planning to hijack a train, which according to the letter, will result in the deaths of 271 people, unless he stops them.
- Unexplained Recovery: Somehow, Wade's healing factor has returned in full.
