Titans Tomorrow is a Teen Titans story arc spanning from Teen Titans (2003) #17-19. The story arc is written by Geoff Johns with art by Mike Mc Kone.
The Teen Titans encounter a future where they have assumed the roles of their late mentors, and have restructured themselves as an extremely violent group called the Titans.
The storyline is followed by Titans of Tomorrow... Today as well as the 2017 crossover Super Sons of Tomorrow.
Titans Tommorow provides examples of:
- Anti-Hero Substitute: The future Tim Drake has become a gun-wielding Batman.
- Bad Future: The future Titans themselves are split into totalitarian rulers and freedom fighters. This same Bad Future is revisited after the events of Infinite Crisis, when it turns out the timeline lacks Ontological Inertia, so all the future Titans (and then some) arrive in the past in order to secure their timeline from wanting any further nails.
- Dumb Muscle: Better control of his powers aside, Tomorrow Conner is little more than The Brute, utterly dependant on Luthor and Batman for guidance.
- Expy: The future Kon-El, with his dictatorial tendencies and a violent temper, is essentially Black Zero in all but name.
- I Hate Past Me: The Titans of Tomorrow have nothing but condescending pity for their younger selves' idealism.
- Legacy Character: The future Titans have taken on the mantles of various heroes:
- Conner Kent has become Superman.
- Garfield Logan has become Animal Man.
- Lorena Marquez has become Aquawoman.
- Tim Drake has become Batman.
- Bart Allen has become the Flash.
- Cassandra Sandsmark has become Wonder Woman.
- Ret-Canon: The future incarnation of Cyborg from the "Titans of Tomorrow" storyline has blue plating similar to his cartoon self.
- Stop, or I Shoot Myself!: Tim Drake discovers that in this future, the Titans grow up to be evil, led by his future Batman self. To bargain with his future self, Tim places a gun to his own head.
