The Morah
- Eldritch Abomination: Seriously, what exactly is it? William Nicholson can't seem to make up his mind. First, it is said to have been a Spirit Lord that was "brother" to the Wind Singer but stole its voice and it appears at the end of the book as a creepy old woman who controls and awakens the Army of the Zars. Then because Bowman was temporarily turned into a Zar, in Slaves of the Mastery, he is able to summon the spirit of the Morah into him in order to destroy the Mastery. Then in Firesong it reappears in the form of the old woman and turns into a legion of howling zombies accompanied by a plague of insects. So is it a spirit that can possess multiple people at once and sometimes assume physical form? Seems to be!
- Voice of the Legion: When Bowman looks into its eyes in its old woman form in The Wind Singer, he sees thousands of eyes and hears a voice whisper "We are the Morah; we are legion."
