- Ambiguously Brown: Noah has darker skin than the rest of his comrades, but it's never explained in the game.
- Creepy Mortician: Downplayed. He is a bit eccentric and is fixated on money. However, his memories and dialogues show he isn't a bad person, and he has a good reason to acquire money.
- Orphan's Ordeal: Noah's memories reveal he was orphaned as a child.
- Saving the Orphanage: Noah's goal was to save as much money as he can in his career to ensure the orphanage he grew up in doesn't lose fundings.

- False Confession: Justine was forced to falsely confess to child murder under threat of going to Hell if she doesn't.
- Idiot Hair: She has a strand of hair sticking out, befitting someone who isn't too familiar with dealing with the Nepes among the Hunters.
- Miscarriage of Justice: She was the victim of this, but she avoided execution due to Victor and Elizabeth's secret intervention.
- Self-Imposed Exile: To save herself from execution, Justine was instructed by Victor to flee for the tower, where she won't be found by her accusers.

- Hunter of Monsters: Alex has been hunting Nepes and retrieving memory fragments for years.

- The Alcoholic: He can't deal with rough situations without a bottle on hand.
- Complaining About Rescues They Don't Like: When he is rescued after EL has been dealt with, he doesn't even thank the Creature for it.
- Drowning My Sorrows: Chris resorted to drinking to forget the pain he went through, even losing a friend on the battlefield.
- Eyes Out of Sight: Chris's eyes are completely hidden by his hair.

- Driven to Suicide: After every horrible thing he went through, Ben attempted suicide because he couldn't take it anymore. It didn't work for him.
- Hulk Speak: Ben is only able to communicate with one or two words at a time.
