Protagonists

     Mor

Morgan Chambers

An introverted graphic designer.
  • Affectionate Nickname:
    • Dom often calls her "babygirl".
    • Lexi calls her "Raincloud".
  • Declaration of Protection: Makes one to Dominique after Dominique has a nightmare about her abusive mother.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: She is the more feminine-leaning between her and Dom and takes care of all the cooking. Dom notes that she always makes so much that Dom has gained a lot of muscle and weight since they started dating.
  • Has a Type: Mor seems to go mainly for tall, muscular women. Her character profile outright states that her prefrerred type of women are futches.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: She owns a black cat named Whisper and is a very kind and caring person.
  • Nervous Wreck: Mor suffers from severe anxiety, psychosis and paranoia. Several episodes show her struggling in public and experiencing delusions.
  • Nice Girl: Mor has a heart of gold and cares deeply for her friends and girlfriend.
  • Took a Level in Cheerfulness: We occasionally see glimpses to Mor's life before meeting Dom and they imply she was a much more nervous and gloomy person, to the point Lexi's nickname for her is "Raincloud". Her mother's initial bad reaction to her coming out and Dylan's abuse definitely had something to do with that.

     Dom

Dominique Liu

A fashion model.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Mor calls her "Domi Baby" or "Domi".
  • Butch Lesbian: She's tall, broad-shouldered, dresses in a more masculine style and is currently dating another woman. Downplayed, as Dom didn't have any interest in dating before meeting Mor and is very open about her asexuality.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Dom is adorably dense when it comes to romance and often doesn't even realize when she's flustering others or when others are attempting to flirt with her. It's so bad even a pick-up line by her own girlfriend doesn't register as such in her mind as first.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Dom is a very tall and imposing woman who can pull a very effective Nightmare Face but she's a calm and kind person underneath it all and she loves her girlfriend to bits.
  • The Fashionista: Comes with her job as a fashion model. Dom often dresses in very elegant and expensive-looking outfits.
  • If It's You, It's Okay: Mor is the only, and will most likely remain the only, woman Dom has ever had romantic feelings towards. Before dating Mor, Dom was also completely disinterested in sex, but starts to slowly become more sexually active in her relationship, even being willing to receive at one point.
  • Lady Looks Like a Dude: Dom is a very tall woman with a more flat chest, sharp features and broad shoulders, which serves to give her a more androgynous to masculine appearance. Even more so after she cuts her hair short. Angie actually thinks Dom is a man when the two of them meet for the first time.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She's often shown in revealing outfits and/or half-naked, with special emphasis on her muscular back and broad shoulders.
  • Oblivious to Love: She never gets it when people are flirting with her. Mor trying a saucy pick-up line goes right over her head and she misunderstands Maithili's joking offer to join her in her room to mean they should roomshare.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Towers over most other characters at 5'11 and is a very sought after model.

Friends

     Panos
A friend and colleague of Mor's.
  • The Confidant: Mor feels comofrtable enough to confide in him when she has trouble dealing with her anxieties and when she's dealing with her temporary separation from Dom.
  • Good Parents: If the way they hold their infant child is any indication, Panos is a very loving parent.
  • Happily Married: Panos has a very harmonious relationship with their wife.

     Lexi
Mor's childhood friend.
  • Commonality Connection: Them and Mor bonded over their tastes in video games and being lesbians, even coming out to each other.
  • Keet: They shout pretty much every sentence they speak and never slow down.
  • The Nicknamer: They gave Mor the nickname "Raincloud", due to her sometimes gloomy attitude and call Dom "Edward Scissorhands" at one point.
  • Odd Friendship: The extremely extroverted Lexi is close friends with the introverted and shy Mor.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Lexi is loud, very excitable and outgoing (red) whereas Mor in comparison is more withdrawn and tempered (blue).

     Farid
Dom's friend and fellow model.
  • Brutal Honesty: Farid doesn't beat around the bush with his opinions or when he wants something. Which isn't a bad thing when you're friends with Dom, who can occasionally be a bit slow to catch on.
  • Calling Parents by Their Name: He calls his father Anwar by his first name when speaking about him. When Dom tries to make him call Anwar his father instead, Farid coldly replies he sees no need to, since Anwar really didn't make an effort to be one and that he can call him whatever he likes.
  • Has a Type: He has a bad habit of dating men who are already married. Downplayed, since he doesn't deliberately seek them out, his boyfriends just hide the fact that they're married from him until the inevitable fall-out when Farid finds out.
  • Only Friend: Zig-zagged. Farid is the only person Dom is sure is her friend. While the other models like her and Dom seems to like them as well, she's not quite sure where she stands with them and isn't comfortable assuming.

Family

     Delilah

Delilah Chambers

Mor's mother. Their relationship is a bit awkward in the present, but she is trying to rectify that.
  • Good Counterpart: To Dom's as of yet unnamed mother. Both initially didn't accept their daughter's identity which led to a falling out and caused said daughters no small amount of anxiety and mental health problems. But while Dom's mother never cleaned up her act, Delilah is actively trying to fix her relationship with Morgan, even if she doesn't understand her relationship with Dom yet and in the end just wants Morgan to be happy.
  • Parents as People: She didn't handle Morgan coming out as a lesbian all that well and often nags and is overly critical of her. But she is making an effort to understand her daughter and is clearly remorseful about having alienated her to this degree. When visiting Mor in episode 44 she even tells her that she's free to call Dom her girlfriend instead of her partner and promises to keep working on her hang-ups.

     Dom's Mother
Dom's extremely abusive mother.
  • Abusive Parent: She would, among other things, force Dom to diet to slim down and beat Dom with a hairbrush whenever she caught her eating more than she was allowed. Dom still has nightmares about her in the present.
  • Hate Sink: Her influence on Dom's life has been portrayed as exclusively negative. From what we know of her she is an abusive monster of a woman who took out her negative feelings about her husband leaving on her own daughter and seemingly never changed or showed remorse for any of her actions.
  • Wanted a Gender-Conforming Child: She resented how much Dom resembled her father and so did her best to force Dom into becoming more traditionally feminine by forcing her to slim down through putting her on extreme diets and signing her up for traditionally feminine activities like ballroom dancing.
