Overview

Trendshift is a platform that tracks and showcases trending GitHub repositories and developers. These Terms and Conditions cover how you can use our website and services.

Accounts

When you create an account on Trendshift, you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and Google account secure, since anyone who can receive your login codes can access your account. Please provide accurate information, and do not share your account or let anyone else access it on your behalf

Acceptable use

We want Trendshift to be a helpful resource for everyone. When using our platform, please do not:

  • Abuse, harass, or send unwanted communications to other users
  • Impersonate other users, developers, or organizations
  • Interfere with the operation of Trendshift or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use Trendshift for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

Subscriptions and billing

Paid access to the Trendshift Signal API is sold as a monthly subscription, billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method the plan price each billing period until you cancel.

The raw data returned by the API is licensed for use within your own products and analysis. You may not re-distribute, resell, or publish the raw API data, or a substantial reproduction of it, to other people or companies without our written permission. Insights and analysis you derive from the data are yours to use and share.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: your access continues until then, and you are not charged again.

Intellectual property

The repository and developer data shown on Trendshift comes from publicly available sources on GitHub. The analysis, rankings, trend data, and presentation of this information are the intellectual property of Trendshift. You retain ownership of any content you create on our platform, but you grant us a license to display and distribute it as part of our services

Third-party data

Trendshift is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub. Repository and developer information is sourced from publicly available GitHub APIs and pages. We do our best to keep this data accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee its completeness or timeliness

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Trendshift is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of our data or services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trendshift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in behavior that harms the platform or other users. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to access Trendshift will cease immediately

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we make changes, we will notify users through the platform. Your continued use of Trendshift after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
