Review your past journal entries on iPhone

The Journal app (iOS 17.2 or later) provides a scrollable view of your past entries. You can filter for details such as photos, locations, and conversations. You can also bookmark entries to revisit later and edit or delete entries from your journal.

View and filter your journal entries

Open the Journal app on your iPhone.
Scroll down to view your entries.
Tap the text in an entry to expand it. To collapse the entry, tap it again. Tap an attachment to see it fullscreen.
To see only certain types of entries, tap , then choose a category such as Photos or Conversations.

Bookmark important entries

Open the Journal app on your iPhone.
Do any of the following:
- Tap , then tap Bookmark.
- Press and hold an entry, then tap Bookmark.
- Swipe right on an entry, then tap .
To see only the bookmarked entries, tap , then tap Bookmarked.

Edit a journal entry

Open the Journal app on your iPhone.
Do any of the following:
- Tap , then tap Edit.
- Press and hold an entry, then tap Edit.
- Swipe left on an entry, then tap .

Delete a journal entry

Open the Journal app on your iPhone.
Do any of the following:
- Tap , then tap Delete.
- Press and hold an entry, then tap Delete.
- Swipe left on an entry, then tap .
