Show or hide working areas in MainStage

You can customize the MainStage window to suit your way of working. In Edit mode, you can show or hide the inspectors, the Channel Strips area, or the workspace. You can also show or hide all open plug-in windows.

Hide the inspectors

In MainStage, do one of the following:

  • Choose View > Hide Inspectors (or press Command-5).

  • Click the Inspectors button on the toolbar.

Show the inspectors

In MainStage, do one of the following:

  • Choose View > Show Inspectors (or press Command-5 again).

  • Click the Inspectors button on the toolbar.

Hide the Channel Strips area

In MainStage, do one of the following:

  • Choose View > Hide Channel Strips (or press Command-6).

  • Click the Channel Strips button on the toolbar.

Show the Channel Strips area

In MainStage, do one of the following:

  • Choose View > Show Channel Strips (or press Command-6 again).

  • Click the Channel Strips button on the toolbar.

Hide the workspace

  • In MainStage, choose View > Hide Workspace (or press Command-7).

    To show the workspace when it is hidden, choose View > Show Workspace (or press Command-7 again).

Hide all open plug-in windows

  • In MainStage, choose View > Hide Plug-ins (or press V).

    To show the plug-in windows when they are hidden, choose View > Show Plug-ins (or press V again).

Switch between the Assign & Map and Workspace tabs

In MainStage:

  • To switch to the Assign & Map tab: choose View > Select Assign & Map tab.

  • To switch to the Workspace tab: choose View > Select Workspace tab.
