Work with the menu bar in Logic Pro for iPad

Logic Pro for iPad includes a menu bar at the top of the Logic Pro window with commands for many common and useful functions. It contains the following categories: Logic Pro, File, Edit, Select, Track, Navigate, View, Window, and Help. Some commands are active only in a particular working area.

You can show the menu bar and use menu commands to perform a variety of functions while working on your projects. The menu bar is available when your iPad is set to either Windowed Apps or Stage Manager in the Multitasking & Gestures section of the Settings app.

From the Home Screen, tap Settings, tap Multitasking & Gestures, then tap either mode to select it.

When you tap a menu item in the Logic Pro menu bar or tap anywhere in the Logic Pro window, the menu bar is hidden.

Show the menu bar

In Logic Pro, do one of the following:

  • Swipe down from the top of the display.

  • Connect an external keyboard to your iPad.

Tip: If you have an external mouse or trackpad connected to your iPad, move the pointer to the top of the display to show the menu bar.

For more information about using the menu bar on iPad, see the iPad User Guide.
