Intro to working with text with VoiceOver on Mac
There are several ways you can navigate text.
Read text: VoiceOver provides many ways to read text — by line, paragraph, word, sentence and more. See Use VoiceOver to read text.
Select text: You can select text using standard macOS keyboard shortcuts, VoiceOver gestures or Quick Nav. See Use VoiceOver to select text.
Scroll to content: You can scroll to content using a VoiceOver command or VoiceOver gestures. See Use VoiceOver to scroll to content.
Hear what you type: VoiceOver can speak what you’re typing (known as a typing echo). See Use VoiceOver to hear what you type on Mac.
Adjust the verbosity: When reading or editing text, VoiceOver can indicate punctuation, repeated spaces, leading indentation and other text attributes — like bold and italic text. See Use VoiceOver to adjust the verbosity while navigating text.
