Record video and audio in Keynote on iPhone

You can record video on your device and add it directly to a slide. You can also add an audio recording to an individual slide, which is useful when people are viewing your presentation remotely.

To learn how to add an existing video and audio file to a slide or presentation, see Add video and audio.

Record a video

  1. Go to the Keynote app on your iPhone.

  2. Open a presentation, then do one of the following:

    • Tap the Replace Image button in the bottom-right corner of a media placeholder, then tap Take Photo or Video.

    • Tap the Insert Media button in the toolbar, tap the Media button, then tap Take Photo or Video.

  3. Tap Video, then tap the Record Video button to start recording; tap the Stop Recording Video button to stop.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Insert the video: Tap Use Video.

    • Take the video again: Tap Retake.

    • Cancel and return to the presentation: Tap Retake, then tap Cancel.

  5. Drag any blue dot to resize the video, then tap Done.
