Normalize audio regions in the Tracks area in Logic Pro for iPad

You can normalize the gain of selected regions in the Tracks area without opening the regions in the Audio Track Editor. In Logic Pro for iPad, the Normalize Region Gain command is nondestructive so that you alter only the normalized region, not the original file.

Normalize the gain of audio regions in the Tracks area

  1. In the Logic Pro Tracks area, select one or more audio regions. You can select all regions on a track by tapping the track header (when Select Regions on Track Selection is turned on in General settings).

  2. Tap one of the selected regions, then tap Normalize Region Gain.

  3. In the Normalize Gain dialog, do the following:

    • In the Process pop-up menu, choose whether all regions are processed equally, regions are processed equally per track, or regions are processed individually.

    • In the Method pop-up menu, choose the normalization algorithm used for processing (Peak or Loudness).

    • Use the Target Level value slider to set the level of normalization in decibels (Peak) or in LUFS (Loudness).

  4. Tap Apply.
