Intro to tempo in Logic Pro for iPad
Every Logic Pro for iPad project has a tempo, which is expressed in beats per minute (bpm). You can set the tempo in the New Project Chooser when you create a project and change it later while you are working. You can set the project tempo in the display in the control bar. By default, the tempo for new projects is 120 bpm.
You can add multiple tempo changes to a project in the Tempo track and create tempo curves to smoothly transition between different tempos.
You can also use Smart Tempo to to analyze and adjust the tempo of imported audio recordings to match the project’s tempo or adapt the project tempo to an audio file.
