ISDATE

The ISDATE function returns the boolean value TRUE if the given expression evaluates to a date; otherwise it returns the boolean value FALSE.

ISDATE(cell)

cell: The value to test.

Examples

If the table cell A1 contains a date (2020-01-01) and cell B1 contains a string ("Hello"):

=ISDATE(A1) returns TRUE.

=ISDATE(B1) returns FALSE.
